I have had a "extra-terrestrial" visit from a dead in-law, and haven't told anybody. WWYD?

I buy it, OP.

I do think, however, a doctor's visit isn't a bad idea. The brain tumor story worries me.

Do tell your husband and do talk to your kids about any issues. Moving seems a bit drastic (and besides, if the "clowns invading and a kid burns the house down" anaolgy is close, then how would moving prevent "clowns" from "invading" and one of your kids "burning" your "house down"? Wouldn't the just "burn down" the next house?

If dead cousin says the house itself will explode/become haunted, etc. then that is a different story.

I'll give you an example. Let's say your family has a huge fear of clowns. A rational fear, because someone in the family had an experience with clowns in the past, and the entire family is quite afraid of them.

Then imagine that 5 or 10 clowns invade your home while you are sleeping, freak out one of your kids so much, that he or she kills themself. And perhaps burns down the house in the process.

Get it now?

I really don't. Are you saying that something that's happening in your real lives is manifesting itself in dreams? That is VERY normal.

Something that is happening in our real lives that turns into a catastrophe for our family, in my dream. In which my dead cousin-in-law shows me that my Carbon Monoxide detector is not working. Followed by a POD company calling, -- yes, asking for a credit card number--, and confirming the time and *correct* address for delivery, stating that he was told by my dead cousin-in-law that we were needing to move right away.

My initial response was, "Why the hell do we need to move, and were are we supposed to be going?!" His response: "Look Lady, I'm just calling you back to confirm deliver, and get a payment of payment from you". And yes - it's a valid company who delivers PODS.

Someone is scamming you. Maybe that's what you're being warned about in your dream.

Check your credit report.

This is a good point. Or the dead cousin's Identification is being poached somehow?

Stealing a dead person's identity is actually way more common than you think

Yes, make a list of action items:

-Talk to you husband and children about this

-Make an appointment to see a doctor to rule out anything medical going on

-Check into stolen identity theft angle. Request copies of your credit report and those of your husband.

-Do you or anyone in your family have any connection to this PODS company?

This too. Combine that with a recent unexpected loss, and there you go.

+1 You're stressed, and you're reacting to a tragedy.

Wait, are you the same person who dreamed about the missing dark-haired woman having been buried in the woods near your house?
Anonymous
OP, what is it your family is afraid of? Blacks? Muslims? Zombies? Mafia? Are you in a witness protection program?

I really want to believe you but you aren't making a whole lot of sense.

Did you already tell your husband or a close friend about your premonition?

I fear that you did really see your dead cousin in law and that he is trying to warn you.

About the pod though... I think some one close to you is pranking you.

This. The impending tragedy has to be house-specific, or the malicious outside source will just send the clowns to the next house.

I always think about that scene in the Terminator, where the doctor describes Reese's story:

Dr. Silberman: This is great stuff. I could make a career out of this guy! You see how clever his part is? How it doesn't require a shred of proof? Most paranoid delusions are intricate, but this is brilliant!

Op, you are on an ANONYMOUS forum. Either post what it is your family is afraid of or we can't help you.

Anonymous wrote:And yes, OP, this would make a good screenplay for a horror movie. That's what you're testing out here, right?
But there are people asking if the dead person left a credit card number and telling you to move, so it seems a lot of people really find this believable.

LOL! I'm the CC# poster. I think OP is full of shit and/or in need of medical attention. I was trying not to say so but to point out the ridiculousness more subtly.
