I could live in an Ikea and Walmart in an emergency. Food and furniture.
Actually, nothing like Walmart. I could also live in a Costco in case of an emergency. |
I gave up vaping marijuana. I’m keeping ikea |
Doesn't matter who-- we should be eternally grateful for a little mirth in our dull miserable lives of consumerism, sketchy parenting, and wasting time. |
Amen. Praise Jäsus. |
Guilty as charged. I am the op from the other thread who questioned possible fire concerns. I was completely unaware that this thread existed, by got a kick out of reading it. I take comfort in knowing that I am not the only one who had the fire concerns. Sorry, but IKEA just strikes me as a death trap. |
| Just follow the smell of food. The closer you get to the smell, the closer you get to the exit/entrance. In event of ?- stop, drop, and roll roll roll |

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door I had to find the passage back to the place I was before 'Relax' said the night man, 'We are programmed to receive. You can check out any time you like, But you can never leave!' |
I didn’t start this thread but absolutely thought the same thing while shopping there. |
I’m bummed that no one thought my Hotel California deference was funny. |
| Why are we talking about death in a thread about IKEA? We should be celebrating life and have joy! |
Me too! When the zombie apocalypse comes, we'll head over to IKEA, bring some like-minded families and stand our ground. |
With all deference, I did think your reference was funny. |
| I guess sorry to all who will be annoyed this is being bumped but this henmes resting in himmel made me LOL for real, something that doesn't happen on the internet very often! Hopefully it will bring joy and mirth to another! Praise Jäsus! |
I’m fine with that. It’s actually the current advice to staff in the event of a school shooting. |
This is honestly not a good idea 1) It would be a really challenging building to 'clean out' 2) They are usually not near any large centers of food 3) There are actually tons of entrances/exits but very few smaller 'secure' areas. FWIW I have always thought a hotel is the right way to go. Every room is safe zone so if one is compromised you can move on. And usually in bustling population centers so you have places to make strategic food runs. You need some type of equipment to move from room to room via balcony though. |
