I don’t think I can smell the meatballs over the smoke from burning furniture and fabric.

That's exactly what I thought too. Read the thread title and thought "it might be a little far, but probably the opposite direction commute of everyone fleeing DC. Could work."

Yeah. This is not the direction I thought it was going.

Well I personally know that IKEA has heavy fire retardant sprayed in the ceiling because a giant piece of it fell on me as I got to the top of the escalator a couple of years ago.

I visited an IKEA store today in St. Louis, Mo. And I had to ask how to get out of the store. I am seriously concerned of the danger that this maze may cause during an emergency. I had to ask how to get out because I did not want to walk through the whole store. The worker said you have to walk to the cash registers, then out. I said where are the cash registers and he said, "I don't know". He LET me out an emergency exit. There is an escalator that goes up at the entrance but not an escalator that goes down. And the elevator takes you to a different section where the entrance/exit is blocked. I find this very abnormal. I have never experienced this before.

It’s not just me!

I hate the Ikea store too. I'd rather order online.
