Op did not write that comment. However, your response is a good idea of the reaction that white children are going to get if they complain about preference when they're in the minority. Push for promotions in management positions in both the public and private sector.

More federal technical assistance from the federal government.

Not to singe out Asians, but one year Asian owned businesses received 3/4 of all Small Business Administration loans. Why? Because they qualify for minority privileges but frankly don't need the help. Asians overachieve in many areas. Also minority government contracts are legendary because of preferences written into law.

This is just one category of several demands that the AAPI group has. And one race group of a dozen just on Capitol Hill. You go ahead and think that your child is overprivileged while these pressure groups rake in billions and position themselves as your child's boss.

Too bad there isn't a Minority 101 class but you might opening up your mind and reading more. Wake up.

Parents went to college etc. When people who went to the same high schools as my children have more opportunities because they can check URM boxes why are you arguing about this? Even kids whose families are wealthy and/or IVY league parents get the URM advantage. Now where is the hosuing and police discrimination in this area?

Your children didn't have a 50% chance of being born into poverty. That's the advantage they got before they were ever conceived, and a lot of it is due to historical racism.

That's Zimbabwe, not South Africa. They are two separate and distinct counties. Same continent, different country.

It is a label the US government created in the fifties to identify a new influx of people from Spanish speaking Cuba and Puerto Rico.

Good point, 14:59. I get so sick of people lumping race and ethnicity together. While we are at it, could we quit focusing on race so much? It is a flawed social construct with no basis in biology.

16:59 I am not sure what appearance has to do with whether someone chooses to "check white." I am Italian and blond and blue-eyed like my northern Italian grandmother. My cousin takes after the Sicilian side of the family. In the summer, no one would ever assume that she could "check white" on any form.
As a matter of principle, I never check those silly boxes anymore. What if everyone stopped checking the boxes?
