If he walks that means little in my opinion. I think if they believed he was innocent then they would not have pushed for her to have the job. This will not settle anytime soon.

I found this when I did a search for famous alum. I also found out Amy Carter graduated from Holton Arms. Most schools seem to have notable alum who send their kids to the schools but I did not find too much. If anyone else finds some info I would love to know.

Amy Carter didn't go to Holton. Susan Ford, the prior presidential daughter, did.

I'm pretty sure that's inaccurate about the Lauder sisters.

And you should always believe everything you read on the Internet! Those sites are wrong. Note that they all use the same language. One site makes an error, and then it is perpetuated. When her father was president, Amy Carter famously went to DC public schools.

Amy Carter went to DCPS

Amy Carter attended Washington, DC, public schools,[1] including Stevens Elementary School and Hardy Middle School as well as Tri-County High School in Buena Vista, GA.[2][3][4]

As noted above.

I read she went to Holton after she went public which everyone knows public school was a nightmare for that poor little girl.

Amy Carter attended the prestigious Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland. She later earned a bachelor of fine arts degree (BFA) from the Memphis College of Art and a master's degree in art history from Tulane University in New Orleans.

This is what I read.

nope-do soem research it isnt that hard to find. There was an article a few years ago about how AMy Carter was a simple girl raised by simple people and how the more recent kids who were of school age were snobs with parents who have big egos

Public Officials Who Choose Public School

According to a report at Black Voices, the last president to send his child to a public school was Jimmy Carter. Carter's daughter Amy attended Stevens Elementary and Hardy Middle School in Washington DC before enrolling in Holton-Arms, a private school in Bethesda. Amy was constantly flanked by security during her public education years, and she wasn't allowed to play on the playground at recess because it was too close to a street. However, those in the city who saw the President utilize the public schools in his area were more likely to believe him when he said he was advocating for a better school system for all American children.

Currently, President Obama's two daughters, Malia and Sasha, attend Sidwell Friends School, a private Quaker-inspired institution with an annual tuition of around $29,000, according to a report at Take Part. Vice President Joe Biden's granddaughters also attend Sidwell. Before Obama became president, his children attended private schools in Chicago. Obama's former Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, also sent his kids to private schools in Washington DC. If he is elected mayor of Chicago, he is unsure where he will enroll his children.

It's not just Washington that likes private schools. Across the country, governors and other state officials are also sending their kids to private institutions, rather than their neighborhood schools. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg sent his daughters to Spence School, an all-girls private school that costs about $34,000 per year. California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter attended Brentwood School, with a similar price tag.

I stand corrected. Lauder did attend for a brief period. "Lauder grew up mostly in Manhattan but spent two years in Georgetown as a teenager attending Holton-Arms School while her father, Ronald Lauder, was a deputy assistant secretary of defense." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/07/AR2007100701183.html

I also saw this comment from one of the "Patch" newspapers about Holton's advertisement:
The school moved quickly to take note of her appointment, taking out a full-page ad (on page A-11) in today’s Washington Post: “Holton-Arms School Congratulates Christine Lallouette Lagarde, Class of 1974." The ad is accompanied by a large photo of Lagarde. At the bottom, under the school’s logo, the ad describes the school: “Inspiring young women to lead lives of positive influence.” ... “We’re very thrilled about it,” said Liz Zwiegle Yee, director of marketing and communications at Holton-Arms, of Lagarde’s new appointment. She said “a little bit” of reaction is already coming into the school from the Post ad.

She did attend Holton. DCPS became too much for her.

OMG on the Geithner quote. Wow. Even if he knew of harrassment of women at IMF, from his own words, "I wouldn't have any feel or appreciation" of how it might be to work in such an environment? I guess he also didn't have much feel for what it was like to pay his taxes properly. Yikes.
