i wonder if any of the people pushing Largarde as a proud alumni of Holton after just nine months and deserved of a full page ad in the post are the same people who say it's unfair for the news to link george huguely with Landon.

There were several girls across the years who entered HAS in 11th or 12th grade. PP, should they too have been omitted from the yearbook and graduation? Do they not "count" because they were not there long enough, as you would define it?

Are you sure? Is your memory the basis of the claim that both the yearbook and the Commencement program identify her as a graduating senior?
Might someone please review and cite the page number of the 1974 Holton Arms yearbook and the 1974 Commencement program that identify Christine Lallouette (Lagarde) as a member of the Senior "Class of 1974".

I'm holding the yearbook in my hand, honey. Christine Lallouette's senior picture is on page 48. And there's Susan Ford is on page 78. And look at Julia Louis-Dreyfus on page 88 - dorky haircut! And there I am on page...! Well, a girl's got to have a little mystery. As I've noted, I was there. Are we done with this conversation yet?

I sure hope it ends this silly discussion. This person who insist on page numbers is an annoying b@*&%. The class of 74' shouted her out in the paper. What is so awful about that! I see it more as her class that did this not the school. Anyway, I sure hope this relentless poster who just cannot accept the facts is finally satisfied and will get back on her broom and fly someplace else!

Some women are raised so horribly that they can't stand the thought of women in power or the thought that an all-girl's school is exhibiting powerful tendencies.

And the 1974 Commencement program? Did Christine Lallouette attend the 1974 graduation ceremony and receive a diploma in the Spring of 1974?

While you twit away, Strauss-Kahn is going to walk free. Please take your intensity and apply it to something of more value. Please.

I currently work at a big three. If we have an exchange student as a senior that student gets a diploma, is listed as a member of the senior class, and is called an alum. (Generally most exchange students come as juniors, however.) I realize this does not resolve what Holton did in 1974, but it might provide some context for the concept that it would NOT be unheard of for a 1-year exchange student to officially "graduate" from a school. Seems like solid marketing to me--I didn't know about the connection until the ad and I've heard favorable comments since about HA and all-girl's education.

On what page of the 1974 H A Commencement program was Christine Lallouette (Lagarde) recognized as a graduating senior?

The term 'shady marketing', rather than 'solid marketing', comes to mind. That H A is an educational institution employing shady marketing is particularly discouraging.

Why does this school have so few "notable" alumni?

Nancy Gore and socialite Barbara Howar were classmates at the school, which is also the alma mater of Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. Jackie Kennedy, Aerin and Jane Lauder, Patricia Richardson, Margaret Warner (of the PBS News Hour), and Rachael Yamagata also went to Holton-Arms.

I found this when I did a search for famous alum. I also found out Amy Carter graduated from Holton Arms. Most schools seem to have notable alum who send their kids to the schools but I did not find too much. If anyone else finds some info I would love to know.

Amy Carter didn't go to Holton. Susan Ford, the prior presidential daughter, did.

Well let's see if she does the right thing when this guy walks and all this settles, the right thing to do is to resign and give him the job back.

I'm pretty sure that's inaccurate about the Lauder sisters.
