New IMF Chief Graduated Holton Arms

Anytime a woman of any nationality gets power -- some man will try to bring her down. What's new about that? Nothing!

True!

But this time it is the police who are investigating.
You do not just manipulate the police even if you are the head of IMF
or should I say, even if you attended Holton Arms.

don't assume that police in other countries operate the same as police in the US. big mistake.

I see the Holton Arms hater has returned!

Even if Ms. Lagarde manages to avoid conviction, what I want to know if what role Holton Arms played in all this. What kind of values did she learn there that encouraged her to get involved in such improprieties? After all, she did graduate from there, didn't she? And someone earlier in this thread claimed Ms. Lagarde is "a product of Holton Arms."

that is right
The French police operate in a much more professional manner. The police even have longer training

I'm guessing your DD did not get an acceptance letter and that would explain your constant digs at Holton Arms. You really have a problem with this school!

Nope. No jealousy here. I have never set foot on Holton's campus, and I don't even know where in MoCo it is. Maybe in Rockville somewhere?

But I am really enjoying the irony of how you pumped up the school's relationship to Ms. Lagarde for over 10 pages, only to have her now the subject of a criminal investigation. Quite honestly, my Schadenfreude is not directed at Ms. Lagarde or the school -- it's directed at you and the other Holton boosters who contributed to this thread. I feel slightly guilty about it, but I'm still enjoying it.

Crap! I've missed something! Holton mom here - been away from media and computer for awhile, I've got some catching up to do! Can someone tell me what happened (in a nutshell)? Thanks

I have never trusted anyone in a uniform. You folks are naive.

Imf head attended Holton for a year as an exchange student so Holton sent out a big advertisement bragging that this was a Holton alum.
So some thought it was icky because she was not part of the 10 year club.
Either way, she is now under investigation for crimes, so the Holton crowd thinks it is because she is a woman. Others are thinking how funny it is that a soon-to-be jailbird (for financial crimes) was the theme for the schools ad

...said the Holton Hater!

First of all the school did not brag about her appointment her class congratulated her for it. Only Holton haters saw this as a brag. Secondly, I am so glad you have a big crystal ball and can see the future since you have just stated she is going to jail and they have not even completed this investigation. I see why women have such a hard time getting ahead. Why can't we just support each other instead of being crabs in a barrel?

Sorry,
I find it funny that I am now branded a Holton Hater (with a capital H). I never hated Holton, just fund this forum funny and amusing. And it is comical that of all things this woman falls down.
Same rule for everyone. Women do have a hard time getting ahead. I will support every womand who does not break the law. French police do not bother to investigate without due cause.
