The report I saw said it was a Navy Seals Op. |
OT but are there women in special ops? |
No. |
Does anyone else see a disconnect between Obama's somber speech and the crazed endzone dancing that is going on right now? I did not hear a "Reaganesque Berlin Wall" type fighting speech... |
I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.
Mark Twain. |
I think most of the people cheering like they're at the superbowl is due to students that see any major event as a reason to party. I don't think people who actually think about this twice or heard Obama's speech clearly would be jumping and chanting outside of the WH right now. |
+1 It's also very sobering. It would be nice if the WH crowd were ushering in some remembrance of how we felt and acted as one back then, but it sounds (according to NBC) like a bunch of people in their early 20s. I had hope until I heard they were singing "We Are the Champions." |
I agree. watching the footage, the crowd looks so young to me. all I could think is these people were 10 yrs old when 9/11 happened. |
This is why other nations hate us. I would have thought the economy and difficulty in finding a job after college would subdue that entitled attitude. Guess not. |
Lol. Most of them would have been @ 8 during 9/11? |
Ditto. |
I understand the crowd at Ground Zero because they are taking this opportunity to remember those who died v. just to celebrate. Appears NYFD and NYPD there v. just college kids looking for an excuse to party...which is what the White House gathering appears to be. Embarrassing.
Gotta give credit to Obama. If it had happened under Bush watch I would have said exactly the same. |
We are pulling our chemical specialists from Japan so they can be home if there are chemical attacks in retaliation. |
They are hoisting their IPad2s into the air. Winning!
Wow. just. wow. Where do I sign up to be blacklisted? |
1:10 Agree. The remembrance aspect is understandable and to be expected. The WH throng is I just don't have words for it, really. |
