Why can't Obama produce a birth certificate?

Yes, actually it does in this one specific case. If you are born to an American citizen, you are a citizen. But the Constitution does not allow all citizens to become President. You have to be a "natural born citizen". And that's the difference. It is without doubt that he was born on foreign soil, and according to the constitution, the only people in his situation who are clearly allowed to become president are those who were citizens at the time the Constitution was ratified. There has never been a case to clarify what that means.

So actually, the easy challenge would have been McCain. Except he is white and a war hero, so why would anyone question his authenticity?

You mean to tell me that race might have been a factor in the rather ironic situation where the candidate born overseas did NOT have his citizenship questioned but the candidate born in Hawaii did? Noooooooooooo..........

So since VA has only issued me a Certificate of Live Birth which does not include any attending physician signature, will my DDs have issues running for president in 30+ years? Just trying to understand what a valid birth certificate is.

McCain may have come under scrutiny if he became pres. But being a famous war hero resonates with the vast majority . Mc Cain produced his original birth certificate. Obama can't and it should be produced before any candidate debates him.
