Why can't Obama produce a birth certificate?

| The document doesn't exist. He has no childhood friends . Nobody remembers him. Are any of his parents still alive? Does he have any relatives in the US, why do we report and know so little of our President? This is very strange. |

All of this is applicable to John McCain. No birth certificate, no childhood friends. No one remembers him. Where are his parents? Very, very strange. |

If you are born in this country all you have to do is write to the Bureau of Vital Statistics in the state where you were born, give them the needed information, and voila, an original birth certificate will be mailed to you. Or, your parents were given an original birth certificate and they should have given it to you at some point once you were of age. It isn't difficult and I do wonder why he doesn't end the controversy and just produce the damn thing. |

Like the birth certificate on the web, the ready availability of counter-evidence does not discourage those who are ready to believe whatever buttresses their sentiments. |

His father was in the US Navy and he was born in a US navy hospital and registered immediately as a US citizen. Stop being such a dolt. |

He was definitely not born in the United States. His claim to legitimacy is based on an untested legal theory that "natural born" includes people abroad born to military. But I can't find a shred of case law to back up that notion. It is so untested that the senate introduced, in 2008, S 2678 - to make McCain a legal choice for president. The bill and the candidate did not get far enough for it to matter, though. |

| Mccains father is a famous navy officer. He got john into annapolis where john finished very low which he often jokes about. That was before he was a war hero and pow of course. When your parents are both naturalized citizens then so r u no matter where u r born. |

| Obama would like to see this ...what ever you call it...continue. It turns independence off and fires up his base. While conservatives(hard to use that word with the current republicans or tea partiers, more like reactionaries) nod and bob their heads in agreement and lose an election. |
