You should stop watching him when he pees - that's weird. |
Seriously. Not everyone has a home to pee in. |
He could if you let him live with you |
DP Such a tired and dumb response. |
LOL no. |
I guess technically, yes, but it didn’t feel like I was assaulted, I wasn’t injured, and I didn’t get a good look at him, so I really didn’t see any reason to call the police. Did not seem like a particularly big deal, once the shock of it happening wore off. I continued to the Metro and went home. |
Not a big deal but you were also in shock? You need to talk with someone to help you work through this incident. |
He is “successful”? He is homeless with severe mental health issues |
I have the unpleasant need to go to that CVS with my young daughters and it is uncomfortable to walk by him because he does say things. And the police should absolutely handle this esp if he is exposing himself. This is how we got to the shooting issue - no smaller enforcement. Now’s the time to call it in, the police have been all around Tenleytown |
I hope you were just in shock because the conscious clear decision not to call the police on someone who assaults you out of nowhere seems like borderline self harm. |
You’re being quite melodramatic about this. He ran up behind me, smacked me on the back, and kept running. It took me about 15 seconds to process it, and then I moved on. I don’t think that’s “borderline self harm,” and I don’t think calling the police would have really accomplished anything. |
| You are all funny and too nice here. In NYC they call 311 on any homeless with continuous nuisance behavior and on any encampment sprouting in a residential area. Mommy FB/whatsapp groups (local ones) organize to report the situations. Like here, they also often say how their hearts are bleeding for these individuals they want kicked out from their neighborhoods, prevent from setting shop on the sidewalks they walk with their kids, etc. Reality is people hate vagrancy and especially having to be constantly accosted by the unpleasant type of mentally unstable characters when they just go about their day. Police would not address this unless these individuals actually hurt someone. But there has to be some service that deals with mental health issues and homelessness in DC, I'd think. |
Don't look if it bothers you that much |
| There have definitely been other posts about him. |
lol. Welcome to DC. Don’t you know it’s racist to not like unstable homeless people yelling at you and defecating in public? Let’s get him a 3K a month apartment on Connecticut Ave for free. That should fix the problem. And no I’m not a MAGA. |
