Yes we know it is a K shaped economy. You are in the upper part of the K, but does not help the lower part of the K.

I grew up in poverty. It’s possible to create your own prosperity in our country.

This is not Trump's concern in the least

Know many small business owners trying to follow your path who have been sunk by Trump's tariffs. Too bad they didn't have your "dedication" to success

No. Everything is so much more expensive. We are saving, but have no discretionary spending anymore. Every dime of take home goes to the basics.

I’m doing fine. The things that are bothering me about inflation are my electric bill and the cost of beef, neither of which are really caused by Trump.

We should probably be paying more for beef when we consider environmental inputs and labor, especially if we want good conditions for meatpackers.

I am unhappy about the electric because ai know it’s partly the AI data centers putting huge demand on it.

Decoupling and cancelling all of those renewable energy projects absolutely impacts our electrcity bills. Cutting off supply while demand increases forces higher prices.
Also, ignoring climate change means no relief when we have hotter hot days and colder cold days.

and beef...did we hear about all those expensive egg prices when Biden was president due to avian bird flu, but it was all biden's fault? Same with the baby formula, which Biden helped provide relief for through negotations with other countries.

Can't have it both ways, the beef prices are absolutely trump's fault and he has had a negative material effect on electricity prices.

If it was up to Trump, states would have no chance to regulate AI in their own state fir 10 years. Why give AI such cover?

Got removed now but it'll be back

You can tell Trump and the Republicans really hate Americans

Is he lying though? Once you leave the northeast, the country looks very scary.

Unless you make 1 million a year or more, you are struggling

Yes, he is lying. Despite trump, our cities are very desirable places to live and work and they are the economic engine of the country. So when he sends ICE to our cities, which push kids out of schools and business to shutter, it slows our economy down. And yes, people are struggling. And it is worse now than under the democrats, uless you are one of the billionaires. Trump told you what he was going to do and you voted for him anyhow.

No. What closes down when ICE goes in are the protesters who attack and prevent ICE from doing its job. That is why the sanctuary cities and counties should turn the criminals over from the jails.

Go look at the lists of people ICE has arrested. There have been some pretty awful people. The two people shot in Minneapolis were misinformed if they thought that ICE was just out hunting people. Sad for them. But, you cannot attack law enforcement.

for every one awful person, there are 30 decent people and abnother 15 actual Americans who have done nothing wrong. That isn't a very good batting average.

Did you make this much of a stir when Obama was deporting 3 million people? I remember a time when Dems were for deporting illegal immigrants regardless of whether they were criminals or not. I want those Dems back.
That was back when they supported union workers. Those days are gone since there numbers have dwindled. Now it’s all about illegals, open borders, DEI, men playing women’s sports - this is the platform of the current Dem party.

You can tell when a Republican is panicking, because they start screaming "Trans!" over and over.

I believe your party's position on trans and minors is it is rare. Is it?

Oh my goodness me, a completely biased, non peer reviewed analysis that even tried to claim Catholic hospitals were doing transition surgeries!?

https://www.ncronline.org/news/catholic-hospitals-criticize-report-alleging-they-provide-surgeries-trans-youth

You literally made yourself look like an idiot by this post from lying Fox News, citing a lying biased organization and a BS study.

Not biased at all. Presciptions wtitten, cutting for effect. You don't like the numbers, do you?

You do not understand how idiotic you sound. The data you cited is bogus. Did you never take a class in research methods? Guess not.

Meanwhile, let's talk about Trump's economy or do you want to keep distracting from the US bleeding jobs????

Amazing how when a minor commits a crime, the standard battle cry of the progressives is "but their brain isn't fully formed".

But when it comes to tran$gender1ng, suddenly it is.

Significantly worse off, and I say this as a dem who was resigned and said to people hey, if he can do better, I hope he does. But I very quickly lost my job from DOGE and haven't been able to find anything since - 58-year-old woman from a niche field that's been somewhat destroyed by Trump. So here I am, early retirement I guess we're calling it? Grocery prices are out of control and about to send a kid to college. Good times.

We're doing ok but that's because we were huge savers for the past 20 years. But, everything is definitely so much more expensive, and health insurance is really taking a good chunk of our income. We've mostly had private insurance as we were self employed. ACA, as expensive as it is, was better than what we had previously because ACA requires pre-existing conditions and mental health to be covered.

I worry for the future of this country, and my kid's futures, especially my DD's. One is about to graduate and one is just headed into college. Thankfully, they have dual citizenship with the UK.

Worse off. I’m in severe debt and can’t save a dime because housing, groceries, other expenses

Barron’s financial had a long article about beef prices a few weeks ago. In sum, it was caused by a drought out west that caused Mom/Pop ranchers to cull their herds a few years ago, sending young females to slaughter instead of breeding future herds. Limited females means shrinking herds over time. This was exacerbated by the same ranchers reaching retirement age with no one to take over - so they didn’t want to take a lot of risk.

It will take years to rebuild, because ranchers need to rebuild the young females first for breeding, and stop sending them to slaughter, which will further limit beef supply in the near term.

There is nothing political about this, just bad timing/circumstance. But the damage happened under Biden’s watch if you feel the need to blame someone.

Mmkay.

“Trump’s comments shocked ranchers, who largely voted for the president. Then his administration announced plans to quadruple low-tariff U.S. imports of beef from Argentina, launched an investigation into meatpackers for price manipulation, and removed duties that Trump imposed over the summer on imports of Brazilian beef.

The series of moves knocked down cattle markets but did not significantly lower the cost of beef at grocery stores, causing ranchers, typically straight shooters, to speak up.”

Fast food became a luxury under Biden

Mostly the forced minimum wage but also money printing on steroids

Biden is not the president and hasn't been for a year..

MAGAs can't help themselves.

So, take a break from beef. Watch for sales. Pork is cheap. Chicken is affordable. Be creative. But, I don't know where you shop, but i can purchase steak for well under $15/lb. Except for tenderloin and that type of cut.
But, I can pick up sirloin at a reasonable price.

Of course, I grew up in a frugal household where steak was a treat--not a staple.
Beef prices will go down in a year or so. There was some disease a couple of years ago that required killing cattle. It will come back.

. The question is, are we better off than we were two years ago. The PP said no and provided evidence. We don’t need your advice on what to do about it. Having to cut foods from one’s diet because it’s too expensive means that things are not better.

You missed the part that it all happened under Biden. And South America beef is infected by screw worm - so banded from countries. I said it wasn’t political - but you have to try anyway. There is just no shortage of dickheads on this forum.
