You must have a short term memory because they were skyrocketing before the ACA and rises actually slower a bit after ACA was implemented.

DP to add and once the ACA subsidies dropped, over one million people dropped insurance so are definitively worse off than they were before.

You mean the temporary subsidies.

Let us know when Republicans have a good healthcare plan proposal. Been waiting 15 years, seems all they have is complaining about healthcare and no solutions. Healthcare costs were already rising quickly before the ACA and the key to helping ACA work - the individual mandate - was shot down.

They. Do. Not. Have. Solutions.

Meanwhile, TrumpRx is a freaking joke.

Just go to the ER for everything like the undocumented and then don’t pay the bill.

Does saying things like that make you feel like less of a loser?

I am doing well because we suffered no job losses, have high HHI etc. however, most of the country is not doing well. I would prefer lesser or slower return in my 401k in exchange for everybody living a somewhat stable financial lifestyle. A few people doing well means nothing if you want a thriving society.

DP. You do realize that this type of stuff causes hospitals to close their ER departments. What’s the plan for PP once all the ERs are closed?

not only am I not better off than 2 years ago, but the types of jobs my kids were aiming for post college have all but disappeared, so now they are scrambling to find work in different spaces...all totally avoidable.

Yes, net worth just surpassed $10 million. Both sons have great jobs. No debt.

And you didn't have these things 2 years ago?

Trump did this for you?

No, net worth has increased substantially and both sons were in college. But thanks for asking.

Well, the dollar is at a four year low so it’s not surprising that on paper you’d have more money, but I doubt you have any more buying power and probably far or less.

Yes we know it is a K shaped economy. You are in the upper part of the K, but does not help the lower part of the K.

I grew up in poverty. It’s possible to create your own prosperity in our country.
