How old are you PP. This country's healthcare cost have been skyrocketing year over year. That was the reason for trying the ACA in the first place, to get the costs under control. Unfortunately, although the prices have not increased at the same pace they were increasing before the ACA, the costs have continued to increase, just not at the same pace. |
Exactly |
Let us know when Republicans have a good healthcare plan proposal. Been waiting 15 years, seems all they have is complaining about healthcare and no solutions. Healthcare costs were already rising quickly before the ACA and the key to helping ACA work - the individual mandate - was shot down. They. Do. Not. Have. Solutions. Meanwhile, TrumpRx is a freaking joke. |
More than likely, these are the people who did not carry any health insurance pre-ACA. So they are not worse off. They are slightly better than they were because they did receive some healthcare treatment while on the ACA. |
This is your response????? Lol! Let me know when Republicans have a healthcare policy proposal. I won't hold my breath. 15 years and nada! It is embarrassing! And will not get my vote, period. |
We have an older population. Costs will continue to rise. Classic supply and demand plus greedy corporate profits. |
Oh goody. They were able to get their tumor removed with the ACA. What a bonus!! Sorry it is back to malignant growth without any medical intervention at all, but at least they got some attention for a couple years so lucky them! |
It's another Trump grift with his family receiving a kickback. Trump University, Trump steaks, Trump vodka, Trump airline, Trump casino, Trump sneakers, Trump bitcoin, Trump shuttle, Trump mortgage, and more all grifts that stole people money and then bankrupted. |
+1 That PPs response was so brain dead, I do not know where to begin. The GOP is an abject failure in every way on healthcare, from zero ideas for general healthcare plan policy, to the joke of TrumpRx, to the pretend MAHA movement while they approve new chemicals and make our farming, soil, food, water, and air dirtier. More PFAs in our food/water, dirtier air, more coal energy leading to mercury in our fish (and meanwhile our electrical costs are skyrocketing while they go all in on no regulation for AI tech and data centers). GOP is a FAILURE on healthcare and MAHA!!! |
It is all a grift. Look up his World Liberty Foundation and crypto scam quid pro quo with the UAE for AI chips. Conservative National Review did a 5 part series on how this is far worse than anything they ever accused the Biden family of, and hypocritical Republicans and MAGA are silent. There should be congressional inquiries, but there is nothing! To every MAGA reading this comment, you are a hypocritical, gullible, sheep. |
Take that chip off your shoulder. Yes, these people were better off with some healthcare. Did someone who did not have healthcare previously but diagnosed with a tumor that was removed once receiving ACA insurance better off than not having the tumor removed? You betcha. They lived to see the next day. Thank Obama and the Democratic party. Will they be better off medically going forward now that the Republican party effectively killed ACA, absolutely not. However to say that they are not better off from the point of no insurance to ACA care is ridiculous. They got fifteen-years of better off. The question is what will they do now that they find out that the Republicans have kicked them back to curb. |
Your anger is misplaced. I happen to think that what the republicans are doing with healthcare sucks, but to think that someone who received medical treatment for the first time due to ACA is not better off without never receiving any healthcare is crazy. Ask them and their children if those additional 10 or so years with ACA was worth it, when there would have been none. With that said, it does not take away from the fact that going forward they will be unable to receive continuing care if the republicans have anything to say about it. |
| No. The last three years have not been good. Layoffs, taking significant pay cut (but seemingly survived layoff at new company this month bc of being underpaid, tech company could go under), changing grading policy every year for past four years for my kids, etc. |
Just go to the ER for everything like the undocumented and then don’t pay the bill. |
+1 Sure the stock market is doing well but that could be lost in an instant. Everything is more expensive and often for less product or service. |
