+1 I would like to know her accomplishments as a ward 4 council member. |
I carry no water for the Duffman. As far as I can tell he's a blame avoidance type of personality with no opinions and no leadership. JLG on the other hand seems like a blame deflection person that wants to scapegoat others. Both types are not ideal but I guess I prefer avoidance to reflection. I know it won't make you feel any better but you should know that the Commanders stadium deal was always going to go through. Almost every native Washingtonian over 40, regardless of racial or economic lines, wants the team back home, hates Dan Snyder, and thinks Raljohn is a tragedy that should have never happened. |
They are running a city. That is why Muriel is so bad. She had no managerial experience unless you count as Councilmember. Janese has been a terrible councilmember for my ward. I hear that her office is a mess. She is very unresponsive unless there is a tv camera. |
Lots of drama and dysfunction. She seems incapable of running her own office. Maybe she shouldnt be put in charge of the city. |
Muriel is so bad (for us) because she prioritizes her cronies. I've heard enough from Lewis George that I don't think that will be a problem for her. The only other leading alternative (McDuffie) for mayor is also a council member so that's not a step up. Unless you're leaving on his experience as a postal worker... I'd consider prosecutor as more applicable experience. Mamdani didn't have "prior experience" but he seems to be hitting the ground running and actually got the snow cleared. |
Give me a break. Janeese is the queen of special interest groups. |
|
She's actually prosecuted criminals. What have you done? |
This canard again. 1. She didn't write it. 2. You apparently have no idea what was in the actual bill. Try educating yourself. Start with this overview: https://www.newyorker.com/news/annals-of-crime/the-war-on-cities |
It was the one where she'd make it a lot harder to prosecute criminals. This was separate though from her campaign to defund the police. She wanted to give the money instead to her "violence interrupter" friends, which, of course, was at the heart of that whole bribery scandal. |
McDuffie was a prosecutor too. He went to law school after being a mail carrier. |
Yup, and is now carrying on the McBowser sellout tradition. It's not about his credentials. |
That's too bad. Mail carriers contribute to the city better and have more dignity than McDouchie |
Did she? Becuase the amount of utter horse manure y'all have been spreading makes me doubt literally anything she says. |
She has far more failings than accomplishments. I did like how she advocated for the Circulator bus drivers who were laid off by “Better Bus.” |
