It seems like a lot of the complaints against Janeese are really about failings by mayor Bowser and her people. Why would we want McDuffie as Bowser's handpicked stooge?
Because Janeese would be a hilariously bad mayor? She is completely unqualified.
Specifically, how? She's educated, experienced, and actually gives a crap.
Experienced doing what exactly?
I think her main accomplishment was writing a crime bill that was so outlandishly criminal friendly that Democrats in Congress took the exceedingly rare step of overturning it. If even Democrats in Congress felt they have to intervene, just imagine how Trump would react to her. Bye, bye home rule.
This canard again. 1. She didn't write it. 2. You apparently have no idea what was in the actual bill. Try educating yourself. Start with this overview: https://www.newyorker.com/news/annals-of-crime/the-war-on-cities
It was the one where she'd make it a lot harder to prosecute criminals. This was separate though from her campaign to defund the police. She wanted to give the money instead to her "violence interrupter" friends, which, of course, was at the heart of that whole bribery scandal.
