| It seems like a lot of the complaints against Janeese are really about failings by mayor Bowser and her people. Why would we want McDuffie as Bowser's handpicked stooge? |
Because Janeese would be a hilariously bad mayor? She is completely unqualified. |
Specifically, how? She's educated, experienced, and actually gives a crap. |
| Where do they both stand on plowing bike lanes? |
Gives a crap, yeah she does to criminals. |
You're thinking of Republicans. Try again. |
Experienced doing what exactly? |

Lawyer (prosecutor) and council member, so very involved in DC laws and budgets. |
Is that a good thing? |
Depends what you're looking for in a mayor. Combined with her political stances it looks good to me. |
stop trying to make fetch happen |
Well, I'm not looking for loud grandstanding, aggressive scapegoating or poorly thought out peformative policy making so I guess she's not the one for me. |

I'm generally drawn to McDuffie's more moderate approach, but his support of the multibillion dollar stadium giveaway was revolting. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a pragmatic candidate who can also oppose giveaways to developers.
I'll be trying to learn more, but he might be the least bad candidate. |
I think her main accomplishment was writing a crime bill that was so outlandishly criminal friendly that Democrats in Congress took the exceedingly rare step of overturning it. If even Democrats in Congress felt they have to intervene, just imagine how Trump would react to her. Bye, bye home rule. |
