15yo and Corset costume - I’m the only parent pushing back. Am I being unreasonable ?

It’s fine.

Pick your battles - this ain’t one.

The pic you shared is so tame. She’s also 15 not 12.

It is young to start the slutty costume thing. At 15 we were still dressing like hobos for Halloween, or whatever we could throw together with the stuff at home (bloody face, sports player, zombie, etc)

Requiring modesty is problematic but punishing your daughter with an essay for how she chooses to dress isn’t worse?

The idea of dressing up all the same like a matching set of dolls makes me more skeeved out than the corset.

This was my thought as well. It actually seems less skimpy, tight, and revealing as almost HoCob dresses.

Reminds me of my mom who said "panty hose" were for adults and I was the only cheerleader with bare legs.

How is this remotely the same?

I have never seen a cheerleader in pantyhose.

What does your child's dad think?

Thanks to the person posting photos. I would not be comfortable with most of those for most scenarios, sorry.

What are the girls doing? Party? Trick or treating? Wearing to school?

NP. +1
That pic is total *shrug* for a 15 yr old Halloween costume.

Hahaha. That's longer than most girls are wearing to prom right now, or even mini skirts in the 1960s.

That costume shows a lot less than the super tight short dresses OP.

Not really. Were you born in the 80s?

PPP is referring to the wrong decade

The 70s had even shorter mini skirts than the 60s

If you give in make sure you supervise closely because it could get ugly.

Who said anything about trick or treating? Halloween parties exist and it’s very common in high school.

Also, no one is too old for ToT.

This is not true.

Also, I would feel way better about my 15 year old wearing that costume to a party as opposed to walking the streets wearing it.
