How often do you run your dishwasher and how large is your family?

Just two of us and we run it 2-3 times a week.

Family of 4. We at least run the dishwasher twice a day. Sometimes more than that if we are entertaining or have guests. We cook elaborate meals and we host a lot.

We also use a lot of pots and pans.

Every night. Sometimes (but rarely) more than once a day, and I can remember a couple of times this year that it was 3x in a day.

3 adults, one kid, and one baby. At least 2 adults and the baby eat every meal at home, 90% home-cooked food, and bottles go through the dishwasher to be sterilized. It's a lot of dishes.

It is not wasteful to run a half full dishwasher. You can use different settings for lighter loads. Learn about the features of your appliances.

Two of us. Every night. We eat three meals a day at home. I watched the videos that showed dishwashers use way less water than hand washing.

My dishwasher uses more water and power to get the load finished quicker. You may be using more unless your brand is different.

DP. I'm guessing the pets would get into the dirty dishes if unwashed (cats?).

Family of four plus three cats who eat wet food. Every day, sometimes twice a day. I cook a good amount and I pack both kids' lunches every day.
