Why is fascism more taboo than communism?

This. And there's never been a true communist or socialist government. The West will never allow it because it threatens the superhold the parasite class has on the world. What we have seen are authoritarian regimes wearing the banner of being for the people to justify their takeover.

Fascism is literally the opposite of socialism/communism, and serves only to benefit the parasite class. The conflating of socialism with fascism is purposeful.

Also the idea that communist regimes have been uniquely evil in a way that capitalism hasn't been is a lie. So much death and destruction and suffering and violence happens on a daily basis for the sake of profits, but that conveniently never gets attributed to capitalism.

Because human nature and the environment won’t allow it. It’s not realistic.

Communism is a fantasy. It is a utopian dangling carrot used to dupe the masses to give power to power hungry people.

You're probably right, anyone successfully implementing Communism likely isn't realistic.

But out of curiosity, who exactly in the U.S. with any actual political power or serious chance to gain political power is "dangling the carrot" of Communism? Not "Capitalism but we tax rich people a little more," not "Capitalism but we give poor people healthcare," actual Communism.

I just don't think the supply side makes sense for redistribution. So, you've got a billionaire with a billionaire's house. If we break open the billionaire pinata and allocate millions to other people what does that look like? Well, the billionaire is now living in a millionaire's house, and a thousand people are living in million-dollar houses. Except, where are all the resources going to come from to have a thousand-million-dollar homes. Uh oh inflation. So, you pretty much end up back where you're at. Maybe the former billionaire will have less influence in running his businesses/investments, but then we needed people to run the businesses and what not anyway. It would be nice to have a little more say in the directions these things go, do we really need to work 100-hour weeks at startups or whatever, but at the end of the day communism doesn't appear to afford that.

Communism is a relic of a bygone era. No one is a communist. There are people, like Mamdami in NYC, who want to address the huge imbalance in our society. The middle and lower classes are getting crushed. Nobody is helping them in the Trump administration. Trump is tanking the economy so the Fed is forced to cut rates. Meanwhile, groceries are getting more expensive with the tariffs and labor shortages in agriculture.

If you look at both fascist governments and communist governments in history, both have committed genocides. Most notably, communists perpetrated the Cambodian Genocide (7.1 million), the USSR’s various genocides (debated, but 5-10 million, potentially up to 20 million over the course of the USSR). The fascist example of Nazi Germany is the most famous (11 million). Both killed a ton of people.

Yet growing up in the 90’s and 2000’s, it was ok to wear a hammer and scythe t shirt. DC has a Marx Cafe, but can you imagine a fascist themed bar? Reddit has a r/communism community with 260k members for communism enthusiasts, yet no fascist related communities.

Clearly one is more taboo than the other.

Why?

Are you trying to sell communism as acceptable?

This what our awful two major parties have done. They have caused otherwise intelligent people to think communism is acceptable on some level.

I just want to send positive energy, good fortune, and endless love to all of my fellow American citizens who are fed up with the dysfunction of our two major political parties. We'll get through this, together, as one undivided nation of decent people. Let's all promise to take our voting privileges more seriously in upcoming elections.

I'm a democrat. I don't get to vote. The party coronates its leaders.

Typical MAGA with their nonsensical, off topic comments.

As someone who grew up in a communist country, I do not believe that communism is inherently evil. It worked very well for 50 years, where I grew up and there was a much stronger middle class than we have here today.

You were brainwashed.

My in-laws were enslaved under communism behind the Iron Curtain. They shook off the brainwashing and can now view reality objectively.

You should seek mental health treatment, PP. I’m serious.

You didn't even attempt to answer the actual question.

Which person with any actual power or any actual chance to gain power in American politics is attempting to bring actual Communism to America?

No, I wasn't brainwashed. You just have no idea how some communist countries operated. I have no doubt that in Soviet Russia, things were horrible. We knew it at the time, too. However, we were a prosperous nation that worked with the West, were free to travel and enjoyed tourism from all over the world. You're just very ignorant of the history.

The only reason planned economic systems with collectivism as the fundamental matrix (what simpletons refer to as “communism”) hasn’t been 100% successful is that frankly, the right people haven’t been in charge.

Collectivism is THE ideal economic model. There is nothing more egalitarian than collective ownership of the means of production and no need for private property. This isn’t subject to debate.

But the right people haven’t been in charge. That is a failing of the people, not of collectivism.

Can't that be said of any system though. Capitalism, but the wrong people are in charge...

DP, but of course not. You think a system whose objective is to exterminate certain members of that society is the same as the one that purports to make everyone equal?
