My favorite thing about being a “conspiracy theorist” is not having myocarditis or VAIDS. |
+1. Everyone should stay home so PP can go out. |
But haven't you all gotten the vaccine? Doesn't the vaccine keep you safe? Surely you're not suggesting that perhaps the vaccine does not work. Because that would be against the rules of this board. |
Repeating one more time: the vaccine lessens the severity for the average person so you don't end up in the hospital. Much like the flu vaccine. I have an underlying condition so still mask everywhere I go.in public, and don't go out to eat. Just remember that new viruses like this can cause long term health issues that surface decades later, as doctors found out with the Great Influenza. |
I got the quadrivalent flu shot. I skipped COVID last year since they didn't really make a significant update to the covered strains. COVID is still mutating too quickly. |
Borrrring. Who knows if we all will be alive next year. I'm going out and enjoying what I can. |
Technically, it’s not a cold. Cold are rhinoviruses. Covid is a SARS-COV virus. |
Ugh. My 80 y.o. Parents both got Covid for the first time this month. Dad had the “razor throat” symptom - very painful.
Both fortunately are vaccinated and took Paxlovid, so probably neither will get seriously ill, but still more than a “cold.” |
Not everyone can take paxlovid. None of my doctors will give it to me due to my health issues. |
That would be appreciated. How hard is it to stay home sick? Two months ago I went to a doctor who was sick. I waited nine months for the specialist. I wish they would have canceled. He was masking and said he was due to a cold. If you are working with high risk patients at least give them an option to reschedule. Nice guy but I just needed a copy of my test results to see another specialist and they only would give them to me in person. I knew the results. I was sick for over a month with two rounds of steroids and antibiotics and given how hotel I have to do that it’s ruining my liver. Can I thank you for the spread and send you my medical bills since you are too selfish to stay home when sick? Or, are you willing to step in and cook, clean and drive my kids when I cannot so my spouse doesn’t have to miss work? Or, at least send me food in the hospital as hospital food sucks. At least I usually get a private room. |
You are contagious before you feel sick. Now what? |
Not sure why I would do those things for you when it was likely your doctor who made you sick. I'm sorry you got sick but sometimes illnesses go around. That's life on planet earth, and I'm pretty sure it's been that way for tens of thousands of years. |
Were you masking? Was the doctor masking in an N95 or just a surgical (which won't really do much to protect you)? Did he take it off in the treatment room inbetween patients? |
Who cares? If it’s just a cold for you then rest when you don’t feel good then carry on as usual once you are better. |
I agree w/this assertion. After the vaccines 💉 came out & COVID restrictions relaxed people don’t think about it as much. But we all know it is still around. |
