Repeating one more time: the vaccine lessens the severity for the average person so you don't end up in the hospital. Much like the flu vaccine.

I have an underlying condition so still mask everywhere I go.in public, and don't go out to eat.

Just remember that new viruses like this can cause long term health issues that surface decades later, as doctors found out with the Great Influenza.
