Co-worker had a confirmed case—tests and lost her smell.
Neighbors across the street had it--parents never tested but the kids did. Now our whole house is being laid low with a "summer cold" which seems to be going around. It's just COVID. So much fun! |
Covid never left so I don’t think it’s accurate to say that it’s “back”. |
Yes, I got covid a couple months ago, tested positive, and lost my sense of smell and taste. |
it never went away but it does feel like more widespread at the moment |
I have it. Went to the gym, out to lunch, and have a hair appointment tomorrow. Life goes on. |
Who still tests? |
This winter is liable to be interesting without vaccines. |
I'll take things that didn't happen for $400, Alex. |
Hardly anyone’s been getting Covid vaccines anyway. |
If you don’t test you never have it. |
DP. Which part don’t you believe? I don’t understand. |
We probably had it but forgot to test for it (super slow onset for most of us and we thought it was something else). In retrospect, that combo of congestion, coughing, body aches/fever, and sore throat...probably covid. At least we got it over with early? |
Your post = I am a selfish ahole. None of that was necessary. Especially the gym. How rude to be huffing and puffing around people. Unlike you, some people actually work. They get two weeks of summer vacation that they would prefer not to have COVID for - whether they are at the beach, in Europe or visiting family. You suck. |
Covid is a cold. If you’re not immunocompromised it’s not affecting you any more than a cold would. We don’t test. And if there’s no fever, we continue on with lives. |
You lose your sense of smell and taste from a cold? Not from congestion, that is passed at that point. |
