LOL just a few minutes ago you were 100% okay with a nearly 80% very very conservative area and that was fine with you. |
No, I'm a different poster; I just can't stand the hypocrisy and politicization of a tragedy on this thread |
You're exaggerating certain responses and decisions and also ignoring the tragedies that have occurred in very liberal areas. |
That's the problem with the right wing. They somehow think their political ideology somehow supersedes the laws of physics. They think they can talk about "states rights" when it comes to issues like air or water pollution, as if the wind will suddenly stop blowing at the man-made state border and not carry pollutants across it, or that somehow water borne pollutants will somehow magically stop at the state line. They think they can magically make climate change into a hoax by decree, or legislation, or by defiantly holding up a snowball on the floor of Congress on a February morning. Sorry but that's not how the laws of physics work. They heed no man. And here Republicans think that if they ignore the forces of nature and it ends up wreaking havoc on them that it must be because of evil liberal politics because heaven forbid it could have been that they ignored the forces of nature. |
The PP is part of the MAGA wannabe crowd who just want to troll and cause a ruckus. They are just as obnoxious as MAGA and will politicize any tragedy to get their kicks. Slimeballs. |
Gosh darn it, Trump was right, California should have raked its 33 million acres of forests to prevent wildfires. ![]() |
They knew those cabins were too close to the river. The owner had to get wife airlifted out of there years ago when she was pregnant. Then there was the earlier flood that killed camp kids down the river. There were so many failures, but many of them rest on the owner. This was an expensive camp filled with wealthy kids that expanded on higher ground. It was greed and incompetence. |
+1 There’s an interview with county officials where they say they made their safety decisions BASED on politics. Literally said that accepting money from Biden was making a “deal with the devil” but ultimately took it JUST so California couldn’t get it. It’s not unreasonable to discuss the role that religion and politics played in these deaths. |
A yahoo user said on a very damning article on the site about the owner said her brother is a camp owner nearby and they have someone posted at the River all night long, when it rains and they wake up the kids if it looks right and move them to higher ground. The kids, she said, also go through drills in this cabins. Who knows if they did it at Camp Mystic. |
LOL, politicizing a tragedy. It isn't a tragedy when it was entirely predictable and preventable. It is akin to murder or sacrifice on behalf of the Evangelicals. same with Uvalde. The GOP doesn't give a crap about kids or making life better for people. |
You're not getting the big picture and it's making you sound like a complete and utter jerk of an idiot. Of course there were failures and of course 99% of the loss of life could have been prevented. This was a significant flash flood event occurrence that impact many camps and residential areas across several counties. Hundreds of people died. Tens of thousands of people in harms way were rescued or made it to safe ground. You're making an assumption that the negligence and incompetence that impacted one or two camps was part of region wide public safety failures that are tied to some political ideologies?? This type of flooding event covering a vast area would have similar tragic outcomes if it happened anywhere in the country in similarly populated areas. Grow up. |
I am a DP to who you are responding to. It is political ideology when a county refuses money from Biden for an alert system because it was Biden. And that is what happened here. 100% political and foolish and a lot of people died needlessly. |
Money the county did or didn't take was not what created a circumstance where this tragedy was possible at Camp Mystic. Don't you have some tobacco to chew and Hannity to watch you two-bit fruitcake? |
Can you specifically point out where in my post I said anything political? I didn’t. That was the first time I posted on this thread. I read a Yahoo article about them specifically building cabins on higher ground and it was pointed out that a survey would show the old cabins in a flood zone. Also, you seem to completely have missed my point that he had to have his wife airlifted out when she was pregnant because they were trapped. I’m sorry, that’s complete negligence to hold a camp there after something so dramatic. Laura Bush was associated with the camp. There was tons of money there. Look at the photos of the cabin. Before I knew about Laura I could see it was outfitted with Roberta Roller Rabbit and other very expensive bedding. It was high end. They could have fundraised for new cabins. My point stands: it was greed and negligence. |
Why would a Biden voter watch Hannity?! |
