SYC is getting rid of all sports and only focusing on soccer.

Think of all the stupid things you spent $20 on when they were Ulittles: matching headbands with names, swag bags for big tournaments, team gift exchange, chip in orange hair, team pjpants/sweatshirts. Now use your $20 more effectively.... for soccer.

DD is $25 a session at ECNL club - paid in team fees. This is normal for high-level teams to have this kind of add on…start asking around

Think about the fact that people had a choice on whether or not to spend their money on all of the ‘stupid things’ you just mentioned. There is no choice here. While you think this might be an effective use of ‘twenty bucks’ others won’t.

Is it true that SYC can’t afford to pay for their own operational costs so they are making it mandatory that families bail them out of this mess? What if families can’t afford to spend another 1500 dollars on soccer this year? Yes, companies pass costs onto consumers all the time but this looks desperate. This is something that parents should have been told prior to signing offer letters.

These are the kind of things that will tarnish SYC’s 5 star rating.

If we knew ahead of time that would be on us. But we didn’t. And it’s not the difference between playing in a tournament or not. Our team fees were announced already and now SYC is trying to change them. Typical PM and EM type stuff.

Oh great. A bunch of pre-puberty kids trying to build muscle massive by squatting with barbell weights. I hope they have actual certified fitness trainers there, because a bunch of the flashy videos do not show age appropriate strengthening.

SYC parent tranferred from another club. Can someone help me understand? I already am surprised at the existing team fees for tournaments. But I at least sort of get that. This even more fees on top of the existing fees? If so, why am I just now finding out?

It’s the awesomeness of SYC. Get you to join a team and then surprise you with extra fees, roster changes.

So the fee in PlayMetrics is not accurate?
