If your club offers you a MLSN contract and does not follow the technical standards, then you have a strong case for them breaching their contract. |
Good luck with that. |
This is exactly waht the SYC parents are upset about. They are required by MLS Next to have a certain number of practices and then not only do they not do that, they try to charge us for an additional practice. |
SYC has always offered, and will continue to offer, four sessions per week for mls next. This is more than most mls next clubs in the area, such as Armour and Bethesda, which typically offer three sessions per week. |
Hahahahahaha hahahaha |
I don’t know about other teams and have no clue about the rest of the club but my players team does not |
+1 |
where can we find the standards? |
check the MLSN website, should be there |
ay caramba! that seems like a bad setup. who has to decide the team fees? |
The team determines the team fees at the end of the day. the team decides/agrees which tournaments they play, travel to, events they want to go, have veo or not. All those decisions and wants makes up the team fees. If as a team, no one wants to attend a certain tournament, which typically costs about $1000, excluding travel, then the team doesn't go and fees are less. |
Never have I seen this at this or any other club my DCs played in. The tournaments are decided by technical staff and coach at the start of the year and everyone is expected to participate. There is no inquiry to whether parents want to or not go to a tournament. |
Typically parents don't decide. Coach/club has a list of events they feel the team should attend. Some coaches take input and add additional tournaments on top of the base list and that drives the cost. You should at least know which events your DC is going to attend. Ask the TM or coach. |

Thanks. I see a couple of ways our team is not holding these standards already. |
