Why does Gen Z hate Trump so much?

Gen Z boys were reacting to the DEI and identity politics that Democrats were espousing for the last 10 years. Think of it from their perspective. If you were a white, Asian, or Latino 18 year old straight male, it became clear you were not welcome in the Democratic Party because of things you have no control over - your race, sexuality, your parents income, your religion, and so on. Progressives identified these boys as the enemy. And GenZ boys responded accordingly and tuned out Democrats and tuned in Joe Rogan.

But that didn't mean for a moment that they liked Trump and the GOP. It's just that Democrats identified them as an enemy. They were always told to be "allies" while the focus was elsewhere. These boys have the same sensibilities as most young people when it comes to health care, the environment, a social safety net, education, and so on. It's just that Democrats went out of their way to antagonize young men. They are as appalled by Trump as everyone, but they feel unwelcome among progressives and the Democratic Party.

The bolded could only be written by someone deep in a right wing fever dream bubble and is so full of BS as to be incomprehensible.

You clearly don't know any 16-24 year white, asian, or latino boys. And black boys are going the same way. Very few of these guys like Trump or Republicans, but they feel completely ostracized and unwelcome in the Democratic Party. That's a party for old rich white and black women who have zero connection with the real world.

ok genius... how do you make the party more oriented towards them? I mean, 100 percent of the policies are for the benefit of young people, people who make less than $300k a year and anyone who is not a nazi...

You can start fixing the problem but not denying that there is a problem. The Democratic platform seems to be "we're perfect and if you don't agree, you're a nazi". Do better.

Wah, wah

GenZ unfortunately talk like they were raised in a 3rd world country.

Well now, they see the beginning of the 3rd world country we are becoming an some don't like it (probably for selfish reasons, but whatever.)

Enough talk GenZ, no one has time to roll out a welcome mat for you with everything that's going on.

Just start working, promise no one is going yo check your id to see how old you are and yell at you.

You are perpetuating the situation by ignoring one of the main the reasons why GenZ turned against the Democratic party, specifically white males. They felt like as a non-minority, they were being portrayed as the enemy and if they dared to disagree with any part of the woke agenda, they were seen as MAGA. So instead of feeling like they had to tiptoe around every word they said, they went to the other side where they are seen as valued or at the very least, accepted. I'm not saying that's a good thing, I hate Trump and so do my boys, but I can tell you that as a mom to white, GenZ males, I have encountered a few situations where this thought process has been discussed and it's a very real problem.

MAGA is a cult and if your kids believe it, nothing the Democrats do will bring them back.

Don't look for value or acceptance from strangers.

Now if they want proper cancer research, a real fiscal policy (instead of he made up one Trump has), real trade agreements (not TACO,) FEMA when they or their family has trouble, actual accurate hurricane forecast... the list goes on and on...

Maybe they should do what some Trump supporters do and hold their noses but vote for the candidate who might get them some of that (its not Trump.)

No more trying to argue with people who are ideologically drawn to Trump. They aren’t fit fit democracy. Sorry GenZ women

I don’t think gen z men are a lost cause yet. It takes the right leader to pull it off which is the current problem. Back in 2016, the young guys were so into Bernie Sanders. I know it’s been 10 years since then and things are different, but they need someone who focuses solely on tangible concrete problems that Gen Z has.

CNN? Gen z does not watch CNN Gen z is currently aged 13 to 28. These people are dealing with high School, college and grad school, recent graduates seeking employment or recently employed. He's doing nothing to help these groups. He has no respect for them and I think they are returning the lack of respect.

Trump is helping these people, just not with coddling and handouts.
Their lack of respect is due to their lack of a father figure in the home. GenZ is the Divorced Parents Generation. They need a daddy. Trump is that daddy.

They're going to have to pay back the huge debt he just put on the country.

No, they are going to have to pay back huge student loan debt incurred to obtain degrees with no marketable skills. See Charlie Kirk on that.

He is damaging the economy just when they need to enter into it and get jobs.

Trump’s tariffs have put billions into the government treasury. It will take dome time for the American economy to bring offshore jobs back home. Short term pain, long term gain.

He pretends the climate change doesn't exist.

Trump knows the climate has changed numerous times before humans were in any great numbers.

One of Trump’s pet peeves is whining. Climate whiners have ticked off Trump, as well as a large number of Americans, who have had enough of these Chicken Little Climate Whiners, the majority of whom are Democrats.

The sky is not falling. Americans are enraged at being blamed for Global Warming/Climate Doom.

See also Charlie Kirk on this matter.

He's trashing education, trashing the department of education, beating on colleges and universities.... These are the things that are right now important to this age group and he's smacking them around.

Universities have largely become a scam, peddling worthless degrees which do not equip a person with marketable skills to earn a living.

Again, see Charlie Kirk.

They now enjoy less rights than their parents, did not more, thanks to his scotus picks and he brags about that.

Let me get the fainting couch for you. Pushing back against Leftist bs is not taking away rights.

He is harassing and deporting family members of their friends and family

Because previous administrations did not have the guts to enforce our immigration laws, Trump has had to step in and put the Fear of God into these lawless infiltrators.

Break out immigration laws? Trump is kicking your ass out of our country. This is why Trump was elected but all milquetoast Democrats can do is call him a meanie for enforcing the law.

As someone in business, many of our companies are CLOSING manufacturing facilities. Tariffs mean that companies can't expand if they don't know the impact of the tariffs. You can't finance and reshore if you don't have stability. Small companies are closing b/c the tariffs are having a huge impact. Only someone who listens to Charlie Kirk and watches FOX news would believe that a company is bringing manufacturing back to the US under these circumstances. You clearly have no idea how business works.

No matter what Charlie Kirk says, college is still the better investment by a long shot. Companies are not hiring right now. Too much uncertainty.

Any one who quotes a moron like Charlie Kirk can't win an intelligent argument. At least have the decency to quote an economist.

As someone also “in business” - I need smart people who can turn wrenches, not smart people who can develop yet another app for finding a place to get your car repaired. We need people who can do the repairs. Not a generation of people who can write code.

As someone also “in business” - I need smart people who can turn wrenches.

What business are you in? Are you pretending to be someone who owns an auto repair shop? #MAGAfantasyLife

Why would I need to pretend to own a business as commonplace and ordinary as a service shop? Don’t get me wrong - there’s nothing I’d rather be doing - but it’s not exactly a humblebrag, kitten. I turn wrenches on cars because your husband is too dumb to do it himself. So I make a comfortable parasitic living doing the stuff you can’t do yourself.

And the funny thing is, I’d never hire your kid, because he’s guaranteed to be as inept as his parents. So one day he’s gonna be paying my sons for the stuff he’s too dumb to himself, just like dad.

Generational stupidity you might say. I swim in yours like a pool.

News flash: people with money outsource things they don’t want to do. It’s not about “stupid”.

This is incredibly stupid.
Talking about other people doesn't mean you're the enemy.

This is the attitude of the Democratic party. And this is the problem. Instead of listening to and validating their feelings, you call them stupid. How is that helping?

Validate what? That it's only 60 percent about them, not 100 percent?

This is the bitter attitude that keeps the cycle going. They are not asking for it to be 100 percent about them. They are just asking that when it's not 100 percent about someone else, they don't get blamed for how the world reacts. And that its not assumed that just because they are white and male, they are still part of the problem and not the solution. I am telling you that this is how a lot of these kids feel. But again, you don't want to listen. And the GOP wins the election, yet again.

Nobody blames them for anything, what on earth are you talking about?

Do you have GenZ males in your household? Because I have seen this happen over and over again. There have been studies on it and articles written about this. And the GOP knows it and uses it to recruit these boys. You can choose not to believe me. That's fine. But I'm telling you that this is an issue and the Democratic party will continue to lose these voters by keeping their head in the sand.

You're telling me about a made-up issue that the GOP has promoted, but no one who is remotely intelligent thinks is real.

NP. As usual DCUM posters remain in their hermetically sealed echo chamber.

Objectively the Democrats lost a shocking number of POC young men in the last election to Trump. This is not in dispute, despite the DCUM reality distortion field a lot of posters here live in.

Okay. I'll play along, and admit we have a problem. So what could the Democratic party do to make itself more attractive to GenZ males? Biden proposed college debt relief, and advocated for trade school training. He funded infrastructure projects that would put Americans to work. But you're suggesting that isn't enough. What specifically would you like to see from the next Democratic candidate that would say "we made a mistake and here's how we're going to make you welcome in the party?"

not really- I have nephews who are south asian males and they are squarely in this camp. they are UMC and have been hearing about 'girl power' and boys are too "negative trait here" all there lives and they are SOOO over it plus they think the whole women can have it all is not working and that government is not working and whatever the old people in government have been doing is a scam. these are kids who are going to grad school at ivies or med school , so they have very promising futures and they hate trump b/c he is creating instability but they also hate ALL of the democrats. so I think its spot on and include black young men in here as well. they think the democrats are demented scam artists and the repeublicans are just a-holes but at least they aren't liars like the dems who lie and pretend they aren't scammers.

Objectively the Democrats lost a shocking number of POC young men in the last election to Trump. This is not in dispute, despite the DCUM reality distortion field a lot of posters here live in.

He did well for a Republican, but I think that’s not because they thought that he’d be good but rather that they can’t stand being led by a woman. I think that they have likely seen the errors of their ways now, don’t you?

It’s a global reaction to modern day feminism and immigration. The move right wing is also occurring in Europe and Asia, it’s not just an American problem.
