2026 Girls Lax WCAC + ISL Outlook

Haight and KJ don't let freshmen play? The 2026 class will say different as both had graduating as 4-year starters. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least 1 or 2 start between the two.

PVI will continue to go down; do we even know who their new coach is?

This Spring is going to be a good one. 4-5 teams across ISL and WCAC will be very competitive and could rise to the top.

SR and SSSAS probably look strongest on paper, but GC is a perennial power these days.

Visi is likely being underestimated. Potomac lost a lot, but not everything. SJC has a second year with their new coach and lots of returning contributors.

Who has the strongest 2029s? Any contributors expected from this group for the top teams across ISL and WCAC? Haight and KJ don't let Freshman play, of course, but I imagine they could help some of the others.

Can PVI and BI reset and be competitive after losing their top players?

My early pre-season take

1. GC
2. SR
3. Saints
4. SJC
5. Potomac
6. VISI

GC had a Freshman Starter all last season on attack. They also had a Freshman defender that saw some good playing time.

Nearly all of SSSA 10 plus seniors this year have been playing since freshman year. Just ask the sophomores and juniors.

And Freshmen were told they would not even be considered for Varsity last year. Thanks for the history. One is related to the other for sure.

Kinda proving the PP's point. Any 2029s likely to sneak onto Varsity and see the field?

Watch out for SJC!!! Didn't lose much and very strong Freshman Class. Those seniors last year along with their new coach changed the culture of SJC Girl's lacrosse for the foreseeable future. No mean girls!

With the exception of the two girls mentioned above who are excellent players and will make big impacts next year (the attacker already made a big impact last season and the defender probably would have seen more playing time had the GC defense not already been stacked), the 2027 and 2028 GC classes were weak compared to other graduate years. Not sure what the 2029 talent level is, but I hear it is a big class.

As we have seen, it isn't always about the amount of talent, but team chemistry.

GC 2027s hit with the injury bug last year with 2 projected starters not playing at all (Denver and Army commits) and 1 in and out of the lineup with injury (not yet committed).

GC will handle them like last year.

Someone needs to tally up where all the cap blue 29 are playing at.

It should be SSSA for ISL champs. They’ve basically gutted the future of the program to get a championship with this senior class. It’s now or never.

I'd say the Saints are best playing the cards they were dealt.
