Step off fool. You clearly haven't been around middle schoolers in 100 years. So many belly shirts in middle school and short dresses and shorts. Everyone ignores any dress code. |
Several of my friends went to the LA show two nights ago. Said it was the best show they have ever been to. We are in our 40s. |
Not prom, but when my kids were in middle school, they did an 8th grade cruise on the potomac. When I tell you, my mouth dropped when I saw how the girls came. I have boys. I'm talking 6 inch heels, full makeup, heavy hair extensions, the nails, etc. Prom type dresses that were very mature-looking. They didn't look like this at school every day, but baybeee!! They came looking they were going to senior prom. My close friend had her daughter in a typical age-appropriate dressy outfit, minimal makeup and no nails. She looked really out of place compared to the other girls. |
I guess there are a lot of geographic differences. I have one in 6th and one in 8th and haven't seen any of them looking like Blue Ivy. They are mostly in hoodies and sweats or leggings. Corsets with cleavage and full faces of makeup are just not in for 12 / 13 year olds were we are. Maybe we are all poor but no one is spending thousands on hair and makeup and outfits. Thankfully! Makes me glad we live where we do given those saying she is the norm for a middle schooler for where they live. |
Not where I work. No boobs, cleavage, midrift, butt cracks, or saggy baggy pants allowed. |
Clearly, YOU are part of a culture that thinks such behavior and dress are fine. Not true for all middle schools. |
As a Black woman, I saw that moment a little differently—it actually felt super familiar. That look from Grandma Knowles? Very much 'Black grandma energy'—firm, but full of love. It’s not unusual in our families for elders to keep younger ones in check, even in the middle of joyful moments. Just a cultural thing that might look odd from the outside. |
Of course the bots who are paid to google her name and attack anyone for calling out this “queen” found this thread. |
You think Beyonce employs bots specifically to attack random social media users for making critical comments. Thanks for the laugh. ![]() |
I think the kids just look older because they have their father's features.
The dancing and even the younger childs excitement are normal/routine for kids these days. There is nothing nefarious here. I think it likely their parents are very protective (due to what they have seen in the industry especially). I don't think they are leaving them alone with anyone if they decide to go into the same industry. They'd be idiots if they did. |
The Obama girls worked in food service over a summer or two in HS. Apple Martin worked at a clothing store in HS. It can be done. |
Exploiting and sexualizing your minor kid to get some viral buzz. Sickening. Fading pop stars all get so batshit nutty and desperate. Britney, Whitney, Mariah, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, on and on. |
It’s going viral that Tina Knowles actually digged her nail into the child and pinched the child in the arm. Not appropriate or ok but she’s the queen mother of stage moms. She probably did the same to Beyonce growing up when Beyonce wasn’t in line on stage. I’m not surprised Beyoncés following her mothers route with both her marriage and parenting her girls. Beyonce has a broken knee and cannot dance anymore like she used to in her 20’s so she’s preparing blue to take over. They also treat blue like the favorite and Rumi and sir are the spares just like Beyonce and Solange and Kelly were treated |
I didn’t see any snappiness with Rumi at all from Tina. Just love. |
Y’all are reaching. There’s zero proof Tina pinched anyone, and making up abuse stories from a video is wild. Beyoncé’s still performing fine, and just because Blue’s in the spotlight doesn’t mean the twins are being neglected. Not everything is some deep family conspiracy. |
