Beyonce and Blu Ivy

I doubt they force her on stage and it’s probably something she wants to do. I genuinely think it’s just a cool thing she wants to do with her mother and it teaches discipline with all of the rehearsals and confidence.

Everything that has to do with the entertainment industry has been completely supervised by her mother. I think she is fine.

Wow. Totally inappropriate for a 13 year old. Beyoncé is trash.

You would think with everything Beyoncé knows about the industry, that she wouldn’t want her 13 year old front and center. I feel like it is so rare for teens in this high profile roles and in the music industry to ever turn out well as adults.

I noticed this too, she does not look 13. Then I recall thinking Beyoncé looked well into her 20s when Destiny’s Child debuted and she was only 17, so perhaps its genes. That being said, Blue Ivy came across as very poised and thoughtful when doing promo for the Lion King last year. I think her parents are raising her with intention beyond the goal of nepo-baby.

I think that she knows that the kids most at risk of being exploited are the no-names with show parents willing to do anything for a "big break", not independently famous and wealthy nepo babies.

Blu Ivy is protected by her parents and wealth. She doesn’t need to strive or sell her soul to get a leg up.

Her parents are selling her soul. They have trademarks with her name for video games, shampoo, books, etc.

I just wonder if Blue has any friends her age. Does she do typical 13 yr old things with them? What she is doing is fun and cool, but it's not a normal-kid-experience. Does she have any normal kid experiences? Or are they all manufactured and over the top, like when Kylie Jenner's homeschooled kid wanted to ride a yellow school bus so the dad rented one and she got a spin around the gated community block.

She’s never going to be a normal kid. Her parents are two of the most famous people in the world and she is growing up in a fabulously wealthy bubble. I think it’s impossible for kids like that to have a “normal” (like us) upbringing.

But DCUM says there’s no risk to have IVF kids in your 40s.

Michelle Obama has talked a lot about how hard she worked to give her kids as much of a normal life as possible.

Wow. So inappropriate. And she can’t dance. Wooden with no rhythm.

There is something deeply wrong with those of you tearing into the performance of a 13 year old. Get help.

The good - Blue Ivy has talent. I don't get people who say she can't dance or she's just okay. For a 13 year old, I'd say she's pretty good.

The bad - she does look way older than 13. I'd rather see kids be their age a little bit longer and not be so pushed into looking older/growing up. But she will be protected by her parents' fame and money. I hope she turns out to be a not messed-up adult.

The ugly - there is no ugly. Blue Ivy is a pretty girl.
