So, when is the "best" time to get divorced is your kids are 23 months and two grades apart? Oh, and keep in mind the kids aren;t supposed to think you're staying together for them.

No time is good, but staying in a bad marriage also causes damage to the kids.

It is where I see my marriage, the end zone is them getting to college then we are both done, my marriage needs work and spouse has no interest in making it a better and I am at the point that I no longer want to either.

This has been 3-4 years coming and now that we are almost empty nesters I want a plan. And I want to think through the variables.

How are you going to handle the financials of getting them through college? I think it's better to wait until they have all graduated from college. While they're out of the house, live separate lives under one roof.

Separate when they go to college, divorce after

It super important to make your college student ciod your long-distance emotional replacement for your newly departed spouse.

It's truly the best way to maximize RoI on college tuition and boarding.
