You have to be careful while on the green card. You don’t have all the same protections as citizens. My lawyer told me to make sure not to so much as get a speeding ticket, since technically anything like this can be used against you during the citizenship interview.

I’m sure the Trump admin is currently scrambling for what to charge him with now that they realized he doesn’t have a student visa, but instead a green card. Instead of deporting him, they will need to arrest him and charge him with a crime, or release him.

Any day the govt can turn against us and declare the free speech we exercise is actually terroristic activity and we need to be deported. It advocates for the death of all members of the LGTBQ community. It is profoundly anti-democratic. It has advocated for the genocide of all Jews. It is also absurdly corrupt. Its leaders were billionaires that stole billions in aid. And Hamas has shown that it is perfectly capable and willing to murder more than a 1000 innocent people on a Saturday morning.

The Columbia student protestors have shown over and over again that they are advocates for Hamas. Just listen to them - "We are all Hamas." "Hamas, we love you. We love your rockets too." And on and on. There are a million different ways to protest against the Netanyahu government. Israelis do it every day. But the student protesters have chosen to affiliate themselves and to mouth the propaganda of Hamas - an officially designated terrorist organization. For an immigrant, it would be like obtaining a visa for Ireland and then advocating for the death of all Catholics, gays, and the subjugation of women. It would be a problem anywhere. This is not a free speech issue. This is knowingly advancing the interests of terrorists while in the US.

Regardless of the nuances of the law, it really is profoundly stupid for immigrants to loudly advocate and encourage a terrorist organization. He should probably be deported just for the lack of common sense and decency alone.

I never see any evidence that MAGA understands the first amendment. At all. These same people will get mad at Jeff for “censoring their free speech” when he deletes their awful posts from his own website. It’s a common theme with them - they have a loose idea of the concepts, but jumble them up and make it upside down, inside out, or backwards.
