Is Alexandria getting GA back?

Spicy thread. I like it. Can someone give me the breakdown on what happened with Alexandria and GA before? I keep seeing how disastrous it was without any details. Are the same coaches there or leadership? How much money does this guy make

It's the same whiney parents who are complaining about how losing in GA will somehow be different from losing in ECNL.

ASA has produced players, they just don't have to league membership to keep them. We will see how it goes from here. They have the coach of the year who has clearly produced exactly what you'd want when it comes to development. I see someone mention them losing 2 more players. You can look at that two ways. One of them is the fact that the guy has developed 4 very high level players that have been poached by the same club and has at least 2 more that could join any team in the area still on the roster. We'll see how everything shakes out in the area with all of the changes. No need to keep throwing shots.

Maybe with 4 ASA players they may have a chance this time.

You should not bring the kids into it, specifically, or someone may explain those players (and their parents') bad qualities. And there can be no, "How can you criticize them? They are children." You are the one who opened the door. Someone else may just decide to walk through that door.

The shorthand is ASA is not a club holistically focused for the elite level girls side. When they were in GA they were getting destroyed, and quite honestly it’s because their whole system is not setup for the elite environment. ASA does a great job selling a bundle to all their players. Spending 3 months paying for futsal in the winter is not going to translate to collegiate commitments.

Ok since you seem to be the same commenter, what's the timeframe on this? How long were they in GA and wasn't that due to a merger with another club? Is leadership the same and can clubs not change? Arlington also does futsal in the winter from what I understand. Arlington also used to get it handed to them at the older age groups but made a conscious change 5 to 6yrs ago at the club that is now starting to produce fruit. Seems to me that everyone is shortsighted. Just 2yrs ago brave was a disaster and union was just ok, now they seem to be getting a solid footing. Things change I guess is my point. There's negatives and positives for each club.

Arlington doesn't have their whole program focused on futsal, they just have futsal as a light winter activity. Their ECNL players do not do futsal. Brave and Union are at the same place they were years ago. The only club that has ever lost their elite pathway is literally ASA for girls side.

I'll start with... parking at Witter and Limerick

Not the same poster but figured I would give my two cents- lots of positives about ASA, but the girls pathway is not one of them. They do a great job of selling an experience to the players but to me they have a lot of talented loyal ASA grown players who would probably develop and achieve their goals but they funnel them into futsal instead. The NL is an awful league and cannot believe that they put forth their girls teams through that league for that many years, its shocking- they do a great job hiding their players from what's really out there: ECNL, GA, ECNL RL...I don't know when's the last time I saw any of their girls teams in a respectable bracket at any major showcase event.

Why are you so hyper focused on futsal? Yes, it's a thing at ASA, so what's wrong with it exactly? Doesn't it run during the off season anyway and have its own benefits? Also, you're wrong about their (Arlington) ECNL players not doing futsal.

This is clearly an ASA parent... guys.... futsal runs through the winter yes but you realize ECNL/GA elite teams have important matches and train through the winter to prepare for showcases and important events in early spring/late winter.
