Is Alexandria getting GA back?

The club isn't poaching. But is doing what SYC and Arlington have done and that is to get large numbers out to tryouts. To put together top teams, you need lots of kids. ASA is just inviting kids out to practices who are interested in the club... but so is everyone else.

Now, they will get some more serious families who do a lot of training outside of practice...development claims aside by all clubs; club success depends a lot on the level of talent they attract to the club. And those talented players do a lot of training outside of team practices.

Nobody is leaving their current GA or ECNL to go to Alexandria. The girls who left to go GA or ECNL aren't coming back unless they are fringe players on their current teams.

Poaching is a very very funny idea in the context of youth soccer. The arrogance and ignorance for any club or parent from a club to act as though you have any claim on my child is mental. These children are not paid employees on a contract...WE PAY FOR THIS. And at a minimum, each year we are free to pay for the next company (club) to roster our kid. Is it poaching when Popeyes tries to convince me their chicken sandwich is better than Chick fil A?

I am happy that other clubs are interested in my child...give me more options. You guys are total fanboys and these clubs are using you like rented mules to create cult followings. Poaching...how pathetic.

And this is exactly why the US model has its shortcomings. You pay, so you exercise this freedom of movement whenever you get a wild hair up it, so there is no real incentive to develop from clubs. Why would they when the hard work would never be rewarded in the end.
