| My DD is with ASA but we are leaving to another club for GA. We love ASA but they are so late to the game with GA, I can't see them fielding any teams that can compete in GA next year if that is what they announce. If they just rehash their NL team they are going to get wiped. ECNL and GA IDs are over, team formation is over. There are not many players left who are going to try out. |
ASA makes a lot of extra revenue from futsal. Too much to ignore, the program is a big part of their program… they also have access to lots of court space in Alexandria… it’s a good fit for them. But yea, futsal helps with footwork at the u littles, but I agree it doesn’t add much once the game moves to 11v11. |
Alot of those same players backing out of offers. |
No their not |
| No way the way are backing up from established and proven teams. ASA past record and history with Ga is pretty bad. |
Depends on which team your talking about? |
ARL coach worried because they cant develope players? If I was an ARL parent I would be worried about playing time beause its obvious ARL is depending on Alexandria talent |
| Asa keyboard warrior, always dispersing attention to other clubs. Deal with your own issues ASA. |
What does this even mean? Best talent goes to beat clubs. Just the way it works. Alexandria is a feeder club not a destination. It should be a destination but really had no clue what they are doing. It would be fine with Arlington and Arlington parents if all the good kids came from Alexandria. |
| And for the record, hardly any players come from ASA. They stay there, locked in in their little system |
| Comparing Arlington to ASA, especially on the girls side is a joke |
Exactly, I don't know any players that go to ASA. |
| Why so much hate for ASA getting GA? Seems like clubs do not want them to have it. |
I'm not sure either. This is a good thing for them. They have a robust club, facilities and program. I think this could potentially help them out. Players from LMVSC, Gunston, Arlington and SYC are adjacent clubs. So, if they are able to have a draw for some kids who want to play in GA and maybe a few who are boxed out of the top teams at SYC and Arlington, they should start to pick up some good players. Heck, our top team is packed is packed with talent and unless someone leaves there is almost no chance of moving up if you are a bubble player. We hate being on the 2nd team...everyone showboats to get noticed and the training, tournaments and coaching are all not at the same level as the top team. I think for this reason, ASA could start to attract bubble players who have been marginalized in Arlington and SYC or those kids who are on the top team, but sit the bench. |
Every GA team is attracting bubble players, this is nothing new |
