Time to come together and move forward as one nation

Sorry, I'm in no mood to hold hands and sing Kumbaya with the same people who just threw 240+ years of democracy out the window for the promise of cheap groceries.

Funny how republicans want everyone to sit around and sing kumbaya together after their behavior last time. Even funnier seeing them complain about hate speech.

If there's to be unity, it needs to start with Trump and his supporters.

I'm still seeing lots of hate and nasty comments coming from the right, and there's nothing worse than a sore winner.

But keep in mind: the mandate is clear. Trump won the popular vote. "Unity" will not be defined as consensus governing to accommodate radical Dem policies.

Another Trump voter here. I don’t need any apologies. I just want our country to begin to mend.

Why TF would anyone apologize to Trump voters?

Such a gaslighting abuser comment.

Serious question. Why are you on this thread since you clearly have no interest in moving forward as one nation as the OP proposes? There are 7,999,543 other threads where you can spew your hatred about Trump and those who voted for him.

How exactly do you or the OP propose we all "come together"? The two sides have such fundamentally different views, what do you think we should compromise on exactly? Please give specfic examples of how to do this.

You mean like they did when Biden won?

Or when bipartisan immigration bill would pass until trump said don’t do it, I need a campaign issue?

Or when Senate wouldn’t consider Obama’s Supreme Court Justice for a year and and ax half?

You mean like that?

I do miss they days when there wasn't such a stark difference between D and R. Or maybe there was and I was just young enough not to care.

Exactly.

Fck the MAGAs.

No thanks I tried that in 2016....now all I see are uneducated people in red hats who voted for a racist r#pist to be our president. Have you all seen how MAGA behaves in congress-it's like a circus complete with flying monkeys.

Don’t hold your breath. They are incapable of being anything but deplorable trash.

Let’s now put all that behind us and work together, as one nation, to make America a better place; a place our children and grandchildren will be even more proud to call home.

Who’s with me?

You mean now that you've bullied your way to dominate those of who think differently than you? Now you'd like us to "come together" as a nation and move forward?

Nope. Not on my side. Sounds like wokeness. I will not ever speak my mind aloud. I will forever see this country as a nation of racist, sexist, idiots.

But no, I'm not going to "come together" with people who think that I don't deserve to make healthcare decisions about my own body or think that their right to own an AR 15 is more important than my and my children's right to not get randomly shot in public.

I'm sorry, I just can't "come together" with people who believe those things.

What's the alternative? Fight them? Despise them? Deplore them?

How will any of those options improve things?

My suggestion: talk to them, listen to them, and find areas where you do agree. Find common ground where it exists and gain mutual understanding where it doesn't.

THAT is the path forward to a better nation.

I cutoff contact with two people because they support trump and called Harris a whore. I don’t need that kind of crazy in my life. Life is short and I don’t have to willingly share it with people who suck. And before people say, my loss and their gain, I don’t think so. Those two people always had their hands out or were asking for free advice from DH. Get your free legal advice from a Trumoer , or beg for money free. Trumper. They will expect you to pay them back, probably with interest.

+1. Exactly.

Why do you need our validation of your choice? You aren't going to get it.

I work for a private corporation that cut our division from 350 to 50.

There is no right to employment.
