Maturing early can create the illusion of athletic superiority in middle school. I could give you countless examples of players who flamed out but that would be totally inappropriate. I would think someone so knowledgeable of players over multiple years would already know this. |
Nah, you can’t, but you just can’t let it go. Some elite girls get burned out and quit, but again, small list. And you do have a point about maturing early, but that is something you see in 4th and 5th. By 8th grade, you can tell who 90% of elite girls in HS will be. Look, I get it, your kid doesn’t get invited to stuff, it’s cool. Have them keep working and maybe they can be one of those 1 in 100,000 kids that sucked in MS and commits to BC or Cuse in HS. |
I just checked us club lacrosse’s rankings for 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes, and as I suspected, top teams remained at the top, there wasn’t this massive upheaval where wine mom’s kid turned into charlotte north in 11th grade. Lmao. |
UA 150 is fine, but it not that good especially compared to what it used to be. There are significantly better options available. |
Because the top teams recruited better players to remain good. There is so much shuffling of players at the high school level, you cant compare 7th grade to 10th grade teams. These '29 dads make me laugh; you look foolish making these predictions and show your inexperience. First, significant injuries can and WILL happen -- ACLs, stress fractures, shoulders, ankles, to a fair number of players, not just one or two. Second, the big girls in 7th grade, may not be as big by sophomore year and not nearly as dominate. Third, position changes will happen. Mediocre middies play defense and slow defenders get bumped. Fourth, the best athletes in 7th grade have lots of options--hoops, soccer, etc, and may not even play lax in high school. |
Either you are total sh#t talker, or stupid enough to dox yourself. I'm betting the former because nobody could be dumb enough to do the latter. Prove me wrong people, do you know of a village idiot local coach with three daughters who coaches multiple teams and at clinics? |
Turnover at big clubs is rarely massive, a few kids here and there, and of course injuries happen. And yes, kids can chose other sports, but those two things are way different than an elite middle schooler all of sudden sucks in HS. That rarely happens, I’ve been doing this for years, first on boys side, and for last 10 on girls side. I have a 2029, but I also have two older girls and a way older son. I’ve been through this over and over, and the people that hold your position are almost always just bitter parents who’s kids can’t cut it, so they have to lie to themselves. |
Haha, or I just don’t really care if you figure out who I am. What are you gonna do, spit your sav blanc on me at a tournament? Haha, such a loser. |
Actually, you proving that the pot calling the kettle black. |
Sure thing, wine mom. The 2029 class will be entering the recruiting cycle soon, so go ahead and print out the wave one ua150 2029 list and come on this board once they start committing. Those girls will be scooped up by top college teams and all the bitter moms like you will screech about how your B team kid is better but just didn’t get the chance. |
Sure thing, Mr. Marinovich! SMH.... |
LOL, such a loser. |
I don’t coach, but ive been around long enough to know that this coach/dad is right. There are exceptions but most kids who are dominate in 8th grade remain dominant. Some kids catch up, some kids quit, some kids chose another sport ultimately, but i cant think of many great middle school players who just became bad in 11th. She definitely has a kid thst gets cut and isnt invitef anywhere. |
No way this is an adult right? You’ve scouted every class in the last 5 years? There are great players in every class you donkey, for you to be this delusional that you can somehow differentiate the depth of these classes, not to mention a few where the girls haven’t even hit puberty, it’s amazing. |
I have worked with or watched the majority of the players from top ranked teams from 2025-2030, yes. Coached in club, in HS, and even as a grad assistant in college. It’s really not that difficult to see who the top players are and assess relative depth of different classes as they progress. Again, there will always be some late bloomers, there will always be some
elite kids who drop off, but those are exceptions to the rule. I can definitely look at the 2029 kids right now and tell you that 9 out of 10 of the elite kids will remain elite throughout HS. And like I said, come back in a few years; the 2029 kids at UA150 and BIC next summer will still be the majority of the elite kids come 12th grade. |
