Zero developmental concerns otherwise.

Of course you can’t train him not to do something while asleep! My kid is 11 and not night trained. Just a deep sleeper. NBD.

Age 11? How do you manage it? Is it a medical concern?

NP here. We dealt with this in the past, but thankfully. My two kids (of four) that dealt with this at night are past it.

I can't speak for the OP, or any of these 'new' posters. But I know for sure that, back then, it felt a bit lonely, like we were the only ones dealing with it. Hearing that other parents were going through this, and getting their input and suggestions, really helped a lot back then.

Times are different, and I think in general parents, and even kids! Are more open about bedwetting. But, just speaking as a mom that went thru this years ago, with a 7 and 9 year old. A sticky might actually be a good idea! Helps to realize that there's others out there that deal with this well past the potty training years.

It's entirely hormonal, my 10 year old is still wetting the bed most nights ,we've tried solutions but the only thing we've been repeatedly told will be effective is to wait for her body to mature. We hope it happens soon, but don't think it's something we as parents can fix

Different poster, same. It really isn't a big deal.

is ok to ask a 6 year old to throw away the night time underwear in the morning?
Does most of the time but sometimes forget

Weirdest prayer ever.

Also have a 6.5 year old who just figured it out one day and started waking up dry. I was dry at night early as a kid but there was family history of bed wetting. Seems to just be hormonal or genetic or something. While I worried about it at the time, I’m glad we didn’t bug her about it and just let her wear pull ups until she was ready.

9 year old wets through a pull up every single night. Ped says its not a concern. My aunt told me she wet the bed until she was a teenager. I am just so tired of doing daily laundry!!

If it’s leaking every night you should try something else. You might have better success with just a regular diaper that you can adjust the tapes to fit. They make a size 7 now that can accommodate bigger kids.

We've done this with my 8 year old, they're the only thing that has worked, we've tried every other product but could only avoid leaks with diapers for now.

He seem to mind? I don’t have the time to wash the bed every day so whatever makes that possible.

How big is he? My 9 year old is 85 lbs. I have trouble imagining this fitting at all.

Did not read all the pages, but past age 7 you can try using a bedwetting alarm -it's the only method that actually can help "train" the kid to wake up to pee. Did it with one kid at age 8 and had great results, it took only 10 days to work (though you continue use until 30 straight nights dry)

Have you noticed if they have sleep apnea? Apparently this is very common with sleep apnea and cleared up for my DD within 3 months of having her tonsils and adenoids out.
