It is insulting to us American voters that we have to choose between a senile old man and a criminal

First, the man you are calling senile is not, in fact senile. So your choice is between an old man, and an old man who wants to be a dictator.

Choose wisely.

Denying what we all saw with our own eyes is not helpful.

None of this makes any sense to me.

Biden should be doing regular live press conferences to get on top of this awful narrative. That just makes it abundantly clear that he is not up to this campaign…and that the narrative that he’s declining is absolutely true.

Biden needs to resign now.

Fully agree. Lifelong Dem

This. And if DNC keep ignoring this issue, I am voting for Trump.

The ideal presidential candidate is 45-60 (with 60 pushing it when you think about the ideal scenario is a year of campaigning followed by 8 years of leadership).

The metric should be intelligence coupled with charisma and gravitas. We need someone fast on their feet who exudes confidence backed up by intellect and a strong moral compass.

Recognizing that everyone will be put through the wringer and ultimately must win a popularity contest, we must abandon the identity politics approach of selecting candidates based on gender or skin color.

There are plenty of next gen:

Kamala
Bashear
Whitmer (there are actually 4-5 from Michigan)
Wes Moore
Newsome
Jeffries

Those alone wopuld all make fine candidates now, in 2028 or 2032 (assuming we still have elections)

There are a ton of GenZ who are already very politically active, articulate, smart and ready for service.

Exactly. We have the people. That's not the issue.

Except there were no dictatorship from 2016-2020.

Why do you all still bother with this lifelong democrat lie.

Because Pence and some generals had integrity. Trump will not make that “mistake” again.

If Democrats don't choose Harris - a woman of color and the VP that's next in line - and select a white candidate instead, the progressive base will fall apart. But Harris doesn't stand a chance against Trump in this climate. It would be a Republican landslide.

Damned if you do; damned if you don't. Democrats made a catastrophic mistake anointing a shuffling 80-something with dementia as their candidate.

We have the choice between an older man with a great VP (Biden) or an older man who is a felon and a traitor (Trump).

Read up a little about the impact of stuttering:

He stuttered all his life and he won the last Vp debates when he was the VP and the ones against Trump in 2020.

Stuttering is not the excuse. It’s the mangled language, distant stare, and comatose volume of his voice as well as many many other things. No audience at the debate , Dana Bash helping guide Biden throughout the debate with her fingers as to where to look at the camera (this is the real reason the camera was on split screen the entire time so Dana can do her job out of view from the main broadcast), Jill assisting Biden down 2 steps, babying Biden afterward and praising him for being able to answer all the questions , visiting a Nc rally and Waffle House afterward (I thought he had a cold?) . Let’s not forget pointing at the podium during the initial walkout.

There were many things wrong. The lies said about no US soldier deaths and his son dying in Iraq were also pretty bad. As were his mistakes about beating Medicare. I still believe he had an ear monitor on and someone told him “we want to keep Medicare” and he misheard it as beat.

My God stop with the gaslighting. It’s not the stuttering, we’ve seen that his whole career. It’s not the stiffness, that’s been there for years. It wasn’t “a bad debate,” many candidates have had those.

Nobody with two brain cells buys what you are trying and failing to sell. This is a crisis because it’s a real crisis. Biden is not fully capable and declining quickly. We have to accept that and figure out next steps, and soon. And I don’t just mean for the election, I mean for national security purposes.

People are really underestimating what a disaster that debate was. Obviously Biden is incapable of being President. And because of that simple fact - he's a rapidly declining old man with dementia - Democrats are going to lose across the board - Senate, House, governorships, state houses. And yet people continue to claim it was merely a stutter, or a cold, or he was tired from his grueling helicopter ride to Camp David and a week long stay at a luxury vacation home in the woods.

Sleepwalking into a catastrophic election for democrats.

Write-ins and 3rd party votes are the same as not voting.

It was a cold
He was over prepared
He had been traveling too much

When people give this many excuses you know it's bunk. As president Biden needs to be able to function after having traveled too much and when he has mild illnesses. He's 81 and will be 86 at the end of the next term. The majority of Democrats believed he was.too old in February. How many more polls and interviews do they need before accepting reality? The party is handing this country to Trump. It's disgraceful.
