It is insulting to us American voters that we have to choose between a senile old man and a criminal

I'm not voting for a candidate, I'm voting, volunteering, donating for the kind of America I want to live in. One where there is the promise of equality and kindness vs. giving billionaires more even tax breaks and ignoring our climate. I'm voting for my daughters to have rights over their bodies. I'm voting for my daughter's to be able to get a divorce if they happen to marry an abuser.

+1. If you don’t vote you’re saying you’re fine with Trump’s America, so just own it.

I’m voting blue no matter who at this point (although massively distasteful to me) but this isn’t really the choice here.

Do you vote Trump, having been through one Trump presidency, and therefore for a somewhat known quantity? Or do you vote for an unknown Democratic executive branch, identity currently unknown (assuming Biden doesn’t step down)?

Democrats have to accept that people don’t like unknowns. They want known executives. And if it’s not clear who is running the country, many won’t vote at all.

I think you have that reversed. What's this great mystery about "who's running the country" on the Dem side? There's far more likely to be wild cards on the Trump side than on the Dem side. Trump had a constant revolving door of senior staffers and advisors, and a lot of real flakes and downright nasties like Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller and so on, not to mention all of the Trump staffers who went to jail for various things. Dem executive on the other hand has been a lot more stable and consistent.

Yes. There has been so much chaos the past several years with Trump, you need a chart to keep track. So many of his associates have been arrested, indicted, put in jail, disbarred, etc.. Who can keep track. Nevermind all the crimes Trump has committed and probably won’t be held accountable. It’s total madness to even contemplate letting this guy get elected again.

And yet, he will be. Which is horrifying.

There are only two candidates right now with a chance of winning. Voting for 3rd party candidates is the same as not voting. I do not want to vote for Biden but he has out good people in office and is a decent man. Trump is far too dangerous to be back in office. Unbelievable to me that so many people do not see that.

None of this makes any sense to me.

Biden should be doing regular live press conferences to get on top of this awful narrative. That just makes it abundantly clear that he is not up to this campaign…and that the narrative that he’s declining is absolutely true.

Biden needs to resign now.

Why blame this on Biden. Trump could absolutely step aside. Why aren’t you absolutely pissed he’s still running? Why aren’t you furious with the GOP? Biden resign? For flubbing a debate? He’s been a remarkable president.

But let’s say he resigns now. Then what? Kamala becomes president and guess who is next in line if somewhere to happen to her? Speaker Boy Johnson! Because, you see, a new VP would need GOP approval- don’t really think McConnell will seat a new VP?

Stop living in fantasy land. Learn civics, and unless your OK living in Heritage Foundations hell, get active. I’m not fighting hard for Biden to win, I’m fighting hard to keep this country a democracy.

DP. Because Trump won whereas Biden just put the squeeze on any competition. Also Trump is who repubs deserve. I think Biden was at one point a good and competent person but is not anymore. That’s not the same thing as voting for someone who came out the gate talking about building a wall

Can someone please explain to me why are Americans ignoring who they are? Regardless of party we are selfish to the core. We are thought to think of ourselves first and foremost. We value the "individual" above everything else. This is a primary driver why we vote the way we do. Someone with 5 daughters will vote for Trump knowing full well his stance on abortion. Why? Perhaps for that individual all that matters are tax policy to hell with everything else

Yes. Citizens United needs to be overturned. First step is to make sure Trump is not elected. Then get SCOTUS nominees who are actual jurists.

Arguing Citizens United, DOJ took the position that the government could ban books, and the Supreme Court disagreed. If you are calling for the repeal of Citizens United, then you are calling for the repeal of the first amendment and to give the government power to ban books.

Once again, just know that being able to abort a child growing within the mother is not of importance to many women (and men).

You have choices beyond that. You can vote for RFK, Jill Stein, and maybe ten other candidates.
