Question for someone who knows: is there anything voters can do to actually convince Biden to step aside?

+1 dude can take an ass kicking and get back up and carry on like no other.

I guess if by taking an ass kicking you mean whining and blubbering like a toddler. When did it become desirable to be a crying sore loser?

Like it or not, I think that Democrats and much of the media have actually helped to strengthen Trump because he's seen as a warrior who gets everything thrown at him but keeps getting back up. Many people have admiration for him because they think he's been treated unfairly. They identify with him.

Agreed. People see him taking the slings and arrows for the little guy. And he never stops.

I just posted on the other thread…we’ve all known this since 2016. Yet, Dem politicians keep calling him idiot and orange Jesus. It is emboldening his base. It’s not like this is rocket science.

Yes, but one candidate wins and one loses. America is not going to be lost or destroyed if your choice doesn’t win. Or mine. Everyone wants their children to have good lives.

He complains about his treatment, and his supporters agree with him. That's not the same as whining and blubbering. Most people would not be standing after all the assaults. I'm no fan but can certainly appreciate his determination and ability to keep going.

He is too small a person to admit that he lost an election and that has been a massive destructive force in our country. His juvenile character has screwed us all over. Nothing admirable about it. People that raise their children to act like that end up with permanent juveniles instead of mature adults.

She needs to agree to a graceful exit in order for Biden to step aside. He’s probably already had the conversation that he can’t step aside to let her run because she has a worse shot than he does. At least before the debate that was true, not sure where we are now but I suspect the same place.

This is an angle that I had not thought of. Perhaps Harris has made it clear that she wants the spot so Biden feels like he needs to stay in.

Biden isn't feeling/thinking about the nomination; he's mentally gone. The question is what his handlers think. They made that perfectly clear by setting him up with the debate.

A month ago that statement was a RWNJ talking point. Interesting that it’s now mainstream.

Are you so sure about that? That America is not going to be destroyed? I’m not. I think that’s exactly what many of us fear.

Because he had a cold during the debate.

He had a cold, his debate prep hurt him instead of helping him, because Trump is just impossible to debate or talk to because of his CONSTANT LIES, because he had a bad day. Have you never had a bad day?

Trump's constant dishonesty and lying are so destructive. I have never wanted my kids to be less like any other president.

A bad day? No Biden confirmed in real time what the media was hiding that is who he really is. He could fix this today by holding a press conference and taking real questions but he won’t because he is off. Face facts.

+1 I can see why foreign leaders are cautious when dealing with him. My FIL is 81 years old and a lifelong democrat. He can’t stand republicans. He will verbally spar with anyone who doesn’t like the Clintons. I don’t know how many hours I have spent listening to him rail against the republican party. He has held public office as a democrat.

The thing is, he respects Trump. I could have hit the floor when he started talking about Trump that way. He has never said one good word about a single republican for the 30+ years I have known him. I am still so stunned I don’t say anything about Trump when he talks about him. My spouse and I thought maybe he was getting dementia or something when we first heard him talking that way. He will see Trump on tv and say mmm mm. You don’t want to mess with that man. He will then pause and look into our eyes and repeat that no one should mess with Trump, they don’t know what they are up against, etc. But, he still is a democrat and still doesn’t like republicans. It’s weird.

I read that he’s going to Camp David with his family…presumably they will convince him to step aside.

Having said that, Chris Matthews basically said it won’t matter on Bill Maher’s show on Friday night. Who will Biden give it to? Newsom? It’s doubtful he can beat Trump. Maher basically said we know Biden can’t, but at least another candidate might deliver a miracle.

His debater prep team should be fired. Al Biden had to do was let Trump spew his lies then respond with - “Dude, your lies are so big I could drive an electric Hummer through them.” Then turn to camera and say “folks, this guy isn’t serious. I may be old but I’m know how to govern.”

He didn't have a teleprompter. That's the bottom line. No cold. He can't think for himself anymore. He's just a robot who repeats what's on screen from his handlers.

Debate prep for a week? That's plain ridiculous.

Biden didn't lie?

"I’m the only president this century that doesn't have any, this decade, that doesn’t have any troops dying anywhere in the world like he did."

65 families are saying that's a lie.
