Which clubs should get MLSNext?

Alexandria is the best club EVER. We sent three kids to D3 in the last five years! But, we have MLS Next, the ultimate pathway to pro. So hope springs eternal.

Other than Pipeline, it's hard to think of another club in the DMV to add for multiple age groups that will have high quality

Dumbest comment ever.

Prob scared that addl competition will squeeze out their DS from their academy perch.

Cities outside of the US comparable in size to the DMV area can sustain a few soccer clubs. There are many players in this area not on DCU that are as good and will find a way to maximize their soccer potential.

More competition is good!

Seems a lot more emotions than logic in this retort

Many think players scouted and not selected by DCU are "as good" as who were selected. Opinion.
Just remember, DCU doesn't choose lightly which kids to invest tens of thousands of dollars per year.
They also have more than just current performance on their criteria list. Future exceptional performance potential is important, along with their other requirements.

That said, there definitely has to be more than just MLS Professional Academies in MLS Next, since there's only about 28 of them in the country.

Hold on their Smitty, ‘invest’ is a very strong term. DC united barely invests in the turf at Serge. Instead, I would say warehouse.

Know DC united academy kids trying to depart it’s so lackluster. (MLS monopoly obviates these moves. But Nashville and Philly are standard bearers)

You've written the same nonsense on different threads repeatedly.
Hasn't it been long enough since DCU rejected your kid? Time to get over it.

Yes, kids at DC United are constantly confiding in you that they are desperately trying to transfer to Alexandria

Not everyone has a grudge. Get over yourself. It’s Armor they tend to favor after DC anyways - not the ASA

Is there a link to that data to show which clubs players and parents favor?

MLS Next should go to Richmond and Beach. There's enough clubs in Washington area.

100% - Achilles and ASA are just watering down the league.

And your DC plays for?

Richmond doesn't have MLS next?

No, and a big part of that is because ECNL was founded and is still based in Richmond. There is a market for an ECNL and MLS Next team, but I'm sure Richmond United would put up some resistance.
