How attractive do you think men would rate you on a scale of 1-10?

So let's go with this rubric:

In shape? You start at 5.

Is hair styled and current (no mom cut and no gray)? +1
Do you attempt to wear clothes that fit and are reasonably current? +1
Do you wear some kind of makeup to accentuate better features? +0.5

So you're at an 7.5 if you're doing all of the above.

8-10 is reserved for genetic good looks.

Interesting. I don’t consider myself beautiful nor do I consider myself memorable (a lot of women I know look like me) but I do all the above (in shape, good hair that hasn’t gone gray, white teeth, etc).

Makeup only gets me +.5??

That's it, I'm done with it.

I'm a 7 on that scale--age 58, tall, thin, in shape, good hair (minimal gray) and stylish clothes, no makeup, no botox or anything similar. Maybe +1 for good teeth and a nice smile.

I would put myself at a DC 8.5 in my 20s - now in my 40s, maybe a 6.5? 10-15 lbs overweight (on a tall frame, which helps), but carrying some of that in my boobs, which I guess helps? (I would love to go back to a b-c cup vs d-dd personally)

I think in my 20s I was the ideal level of attractive but not SO attractive that people were intimidated. (Call it- cute enough that men hit on me even in LA; not so beautiful that anyone tried to recruit me for modeling/acting/etc) But that has faded over time. I still think I dress well for my body type and I often get compliments on things I wear

A solid 7. My 19 year old daughter and I are the same size, 5, and for fun I often wear her clothes just for fun and maybe to be a bit naughty. When I pull it off I can be an 8+.

Dudes don’t care about the trust and career.

Like all men? Or men my age? Or DH's friends?

When younger I was a 9ish. Now I'd say about a 6? Maybe a 5? But men my age would probably say 8 when just comparing me to our contemporaries?

Why does this matter?

Compared to women my age viewed by men my age? An 8. I’m a pretty hot grandmother but I’m a grandmother!

I would never try to answer this question. It feels like you hate women.

OP you are a man yes?

Ugh.
In my 20’s, NYC 8.5 (with a little effort)
Now, like…4. A DC 4.
6.5, 7 with time, time and more effort.

So tired, don’t sleep enough
Survive on caffeine, dehydrated and dry skin
Former wash-n-wear hair just looks terrible most of the time
Hyperpigmentation
Children > self-care
Clothes are all old and out of date. Size fluctuates, don’t understand my new body type or how to dress it.
And I’m not even 45+ yet, which seems to be when things really hit the fan for people.

In terms of self-selection, won’t a lot of the people on here recognize that they could use some help? A genetically-gifted 10 who has always been a 10 has no use for this forum!
