Just like the majority of others who wouldn't even consider living in south Arlington and specifically bought homes in north Arlington precisely to avoid the schools in the south with the black and brown kids. So, just as APE and MAGA as everyone else who avoided these schools, only avoided them in a different way.

I am a DP. You misread what the PP wrote. They said Miranda/APE were ”too focused” on intensified, not that we shouldn’t have them. Kids in intensified classes are fine. The kids who aren’t need more support. They are the ones falling behind.

What kind of support do they need? An APS physically showing up on their doorstep every morning to make sure they actually come to school?

I was also responding about her touting living in Green Valley with the black people. That's pretty hollow when you don't send your kids to the Green Valley NEIGHBORHOOD school. One is or was in private. The others are in Montessori. So much for investing in your neighborhood school!

My complaints about MT are not about where her kids go to school. I don't love DP but he's milk toast. He didn't found a lobbying group aimed at our schools, teachers and other parents like MT did. He doesn't have a base of DINOs/closet MAGAs.
