No I just don't think you should get points for being a white family living in the Valley when you won't even send your kids to school there with the brown kids.

TEMPORARILY sent one to private. They went Arlington Montessori for public.

Her oldest was at drew after Montessori left. That’s why she was on the pta. She covered all this in forums.

1. Yes, you are “stuck” with MT bc you all vote and support an undemocratic process that allows a few thousand voters to decide the school board member in a primary that gets remarkably low turnout every year.

2. You should be glad the actual adult won the primary, because the only other candidate was barely an adult with no connection to Arlington let alone a record of volunteering or working at APS.

Go boo-hoo somewhere else, or work to change the primary process.

Yeah MT's oldest was at Drew for a hot second before MT pulled her for private school. Then for some reason MT stayed on the Drew PTA without having any kids there. Probably so she could say she was on the Drew PTA, ya know for political reasons.

If you're concerned about discouraging people from running, go talk to APE. I know a handful of people who would have been great, but who didn't want to run and expose themselves and their families to Miranda's APE attack machine.

ACDC is responsible for the primary. We are talking about the election process, not the forum of public opinion, which nobody can control. So your comment is kind of a throwaway.
