As a more liberal parent, I will be glad to have her add some counter-balance to CDT and DP who are lockstep with each other in ignorance and uselessness. BS isn't much more effective than they are; but perhaps with the more thoughtful questioning and listening of MK and MT, board meeting discussions might be a little more substantive and interesting.

do you even remember the vicious attacks the Miranda Turner campaign made on Mary Kadera back when they ran against each other? Truly shameful by MT.

Only in your imagination. They came out of it friends.

My imagination plus all over Facebook.

If you think they came out of it friends, then you are clearly the one with the creative imagination.

But answer me why Mary never endorsed her good friend.

I asked her if she’d endorse anyone in race before it was clear who were the candidates. She said on principle she didn’t want to endorse in race where she would serve with the winner.

But there's no opposition anymore so that's not stopping her. Something else clearly is.

She was pretty open (though not public) in her support of MT.

This is the funniest thing I've heard all day. Sure she was. Sure. We all believe you.

Anonymous person says Mary Kadera was supportive of Miranda’ run.

Sure Jan. I’ve never seen a picture of them together this election season.

No one is campaigning this season, they’re all unopposed.

Susan and Maureen did participate in debates after the primary are, doing GOTV and are still engaging with voters. They don’t even need to. The Rs and Is won’t win (again).

Miranda is just sitting at home. Her low energy in engaging in APS issues publicly (not on X-Twitter) concerns me.

I'm really worried Miranda is going to focus on keeping schools open. We can't have that kind of craziness in office.

She also seems obsessed with getting kids who are behind on track in math and reading. It's just insane.

if there is another pandemic, I certainly hope we have school board members focused on keeping schools open. Why would that be a bad thing?

Also what is wrong with being "obsessed" with helping kids who are behind in reading and math? that won't directly help my kids (who are ahead in both) but it seems like a good thing to focus on.

Right? Such a huge waste of time.

She has to be careful not to piss off her R friends.

And APE is still fighting issues from 3 years ago. Nobody’s going to “close down schools.”

And this obsession with test scores? Let me tell you a secret. Some kids know the content. They just don’t test well. Others are behind, but APE is too focused on accelerated/intensive classes. How does that help kids who will never qualify for these classes? Bc they are behind and actually need backfill/slowing down of content.

It’s almost like Miranda and APE care about THEIR kids more than others. Their disdain of equity makes my point for me.

I predict that when Miranda gets on the board, she will realize just how hard and thankless the work is, and will become just as useless as CD-T and DP.

You didn’t catch the sarcasm in PP’s tone?
