Can you just text him when you can't call? That takes like 3 seconds. I would try to do this if I were you b/c as previously mentioned, how much longer do you have with your dad? You never know and you have the chance today to care for him - take it. Also, he must be very, very lonely without your mom. Try to put yourself in his shoes.
