I bought adidas Women's Grand Court Alpha Tennis Shoe two weeks ago before going on a trip. I wore them for two weeks straight— very comfortable. They look good. I am 49.

Thank you for this! I was able to find some STAN Smith shoes with vegan leather. I just hope they are easy to put on bc I don't have time to tie laces. I'm going to look so cool.

Two of my pairs of Stan Smith Adidas have elastic laces (I added them) that look like normal laces. They are extremely easy to put on.

I just got back from Italy and the answer is Stan Smith. Literally everywhere, Stan Smith. I swear to you I saw like three other shoes.

I have had these for about 8 years. Pink suede and charcoal. I’m dying that they are just becoming mainstream.

The crazier thing is I had the grey New Balance that all the teen boys and dads were back in 2009. And they then exploded. My 8th grader did not know the pair I gave him from the attic 2 years ago were his mom’s.

My husband now calls me trend-setter.

I don’t like to wear the “it” anything. I don’t like wearing what every other woman wears.

Female. 53. Sambas were the only indoor soccer shoe available in the 1980s. Every soccer player had sambas. Make soccer players (and former) have consistently worn sambas as casual shoes for decades. My kids wore them in 2010 for indoor soccer.

Always have been a staple. Always. Every aunt/uncle- now 80s wore them. We had them as kids and still have them now.

They are a classic, much like a boat shoe. At least up the N. East Coast.

I’ve only noticed them over the last few years, but I’m not from the NE. Even here I see them often but still see a solid mix of shoes. In Italy it was everyone. I was really surprised because I’d been led to believe Vejas were the “it” shoe, but I hardly saw them.

Everyone knew what the “Sam Smith” people were talking about. Whether it was a phone autocorrect or a mistake, it doesn’t matter.

For what it’s worth, I have the green originals and love them. Don’t care if everyone or no one wears them.
