What are the “IT” white sneaker for somen

Anonymous
I wanted to try white sneakers without spending a ton of money so I started with the Nike court shoe, very low profile, comfy, nice so far. They are more versatile than they look in the pics, and can be styled with pretty much anything. If I can keep these clean, I will probably splurge on something else later in the summer….

These look like supergas to me. Are they more comfortable? I find supergas lacking arch support (like converse) and vejas remainded stiff and uncomfortable after months of wear. I wear Stan Smiths because they balance simple style and comfort, but would prefer a cuter option.

Yep, that's why I bought them. I have terrible feet and I'm prone to plantar fasciitis, the Salvas are super comfy. They come with really good insoles, but they're also removable if you want to put in something better (I wear special insoles for plantar fasciitis).

Gola
Stan smith platforms
Havana vintage (not comfortable!) GG too OTT
adidas sambas
Vince (great shoes!) run big

The trendiest sneakers right now are Adidas Sambas but I don't think they have an all-white version. You can do mostly white with black stripes though.

The chunky dad sneakers are on the way out, thank god

I have these in gray and will be wearing them in Paris next week when I’m not wearing Blundstones: https://www.nike.com/t/dbreak-premium-womens-shoes-61jl9b/DR5377-001

I also have Blazers but I don’t find them nearly as comfortable.

I don’t find my Chuck Taylors very comfy, so I stick with the classic Sam Smiths. I love them. You can get them all white if you don’t like the green detail.

I'm French, from Paris, and no, they're not, except on fashion-challenged people.

I was in France last week and did not see a single pair of platform converse so this comment also made me laugh. They’re wearing very low profile sleek sneakers if anything- Sambas or Gazelles. I did see quite a few ASICS Gel 1130s/ Kayanos

I was in France too and literally everyone was in platform Converse. Black ones. And adidas.
For those who say they are uncomfortable, that is true, but they make a new version that IS comfortable.

Do any of the middle aged women feel weird wearing the same fashions as your teens? I mean, my teens wear black platform Converse. Doesn't that me a try-hard if I do too?

Supergas are never out of style. Been wearing since my teens.

Also feel like Treetorns are classic.

K Swiss should come back too.

Anonymous wrote:Just got new Veja Recife (the classic style with Velcro) and they are SO much more comfortable than my last pair. According to the salesperson at their boutique they changed the material of the tongue which used to be stiff and hard to break in. I just wore my new shoes all over Paris and they felt great. Saw many Parisians with Vejas as well as converse like pp said. Dd10 wore her platform converse but I agree they aren’t as comfortable. Dd13 wore Stans and Nike Blazers. Ds and dh wore Jordans and dh also got a pair of white Vejas but the Esplars.

Great to hear. I ordered some in 2020 and they felt awful. I donated them in a bag of stuff.

Yes, classic Treetorns were great in the 80's! Today's feel like cardboard.

There's a French influencer who films the feet of people walking by a cafe in a different neighborhood each week and posts it sped up so you can see what French people are wearing. The platform converse shoes dominate. 100%
