How dare they protest for 45 minutes? Over the mere fact that there are more dead children in the US?

You MAGA, GOP, Right To Lifers make me fu---ing sick. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

They did neither. They were disruptive and incited the crowd. They were lucky no state troopers were injured.

It was a peaceful protest. It is allowed in our country, even if it makes you uncomfortable. The protestors may have been loud--but they were peaceful. They were not armed, so spare me your concern about the state troopers. The only armed protesters in state houses in recent times have been Republicans.

Also, these expulsions are rare. The last time the TN state legislature expelled lawmakers was in 1980 (soliciting a bribe) and 2016 (allegations of sexual misconduct while in office).
"Since then [the 1800s], the House of Representatives in Tennessee has voted only twice to oust a lawmaker. Both votes were bipartisan: in 1980, after a sitting lawmaker was convicted of soliciting a bribe, and in 2016, after the House majority whip faced allegations of sexual misconduct while in office."

What a complete joke. Had these protesters - interrupting a legislative session, no less - been conservatives, you'd be calling for their heads. Hypocrite, much?

Oh really? Have you met Cliven Bundy and his band of protesting miscreants? Or what about those who did interrupt legislative sessions in Michigan -ARMED- and handled with kid gloves, during the Pandemic?

GTFOH with your BS lies and whataboutisms.

Proud we insist on decorum in the state house. That’s Nashville nice and it’s color blind.

And yet the Republican legislator that committed battery on the expelled Democratic Representative did not even get a reprimand.

This was not about racism but it did reveal it. You may rather talk about the racism, because that is you have to distract, but do not delude yourself. This was without precedent and nothing more than a blatant unjustifiable excercise of power for powers sake. The flexing of authoritarianism. The sinful desire to hurt another for fun. And on Easter weekend to boot. Gives a whole new meaning to the South shall rise again.

Let’s take a look at what it takes for a “conservative” to get expelled, shall we?

Yeah. State House members being held accountable for their disruptive behavior that broke House rules. Actions have consequences.
Perhaps these 3 members should have thought about the ramifications of their actions before they disrupted business and incited the protestors.

Lol

GOP: actions have consequences - expel those blacks and female representatives for interrupting us!

Also GOP: Going after Donald Trump for falsifying business records to cover up his hush payment to a porn star he had sex with to try to affect the presidential election is POLITICAL! He should be able to lie and obstruct with impunity!

I can't even with the idiocy. Once again: POC and women do NOT get a pass for bad behavior. I'm sorry to report that it's not just white men who are fair game in your twisted little mind.

Robby is a loser. Before today no one knew who the Speaker of the Tennessee legislature was. Now they know who he is and what he represents. Do not allow republicans to gain control. They will take everything from you. Just like the commies do.

Wait till you hear who the last speaker of the Tennessee House was and why he isn’t the speaker anymore.

Shocked, just shocked that no one is interested in what an effing cesspool the Tennessee state house is.

What about, what about.

Jones is a serial assault expert. He got out of line and violated the functioning of the house. He’s been dealt with.

But they didn't. Why? Obviously it was racism, but, were those seven better or worse than the sixty-five? I like to think that they were better because they saw the evil and hesitated just a bit.

OMG. For ONCE could you not focus on their gender or race???

Not when the white nationalist party is involved. The republicans were giving white power hand signs on the flood of the legislature. Race is all you people care about. Go back to Fox.

Oh, BS. Link to those "white power signs," you nimrod.

I absolutely would not if they were conducting a peaceful protest. I believe that protest is a healthy and necessary part of democracy. Now if the protestors were armed or assaulted people or damaged property, that's another story.

I'm assuming you were outraged at the following instances when RW activists stormed state capitols?

Michigan (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52496514)

*Armed far-right protesters attempted to break into the Oregon Capitol in Salem on Monday and clashed with the police as legislators extended COVID-19 relief and restrictions.
Members of far-right and white-supremacist groups including the Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer were there, according to The Daily Beast and Oregon Public Broadcasting.
Protesters broke glass doors, sprayed chemicals at police officers, and assaulted journalists. They did not make it into the session.

Oregon (https://www.businessinsider.com/far-right-protestors-storm-oregon-state-capitol-building-2020-12)

*Dozens of unmasked protesters, some of them armed, shoved their way past state troopers to pack the gallery overlooking the state's House of Representatives. They broke a glass door.

Consider for a moment that if you're tired of hearing people cite race and gender as possible reasons for unfair treatment, that it's happening an awful lot.

And that if it's happening so often that you're tired of hearing it, maybe just maybe they're right? That maybe people of color and women get shafted too often for it to just be coincidence?

We're honestly tired of having to point it out. Maybe we should fix it, so we can all stop talking about it.

I'll tell you what the vast majority of Americans are honestly tired of: playing the race/gender victim card any time you want to be excused for your bad behavior. If those three had been white men - and especially conservative white men - you would be gleefully crowing about how they were expelled for their antics. We all see you .

Maybe stop trying to create race wars.
And, while you are at it... stop with the gender wars too.
It is almost as if you folks are trying to distract from Biden's absolutely horrific record by drumming up nonexistent issues.
